  1. Have you let her get any sleep yet? You guys are real life heroes...next time we meet up I'll have to get you a cold adult beverage. Dave
  2. No...it is the torque management that makes it load up...it retards the timing to lower the power output of the engine. It is a crutch for a trans that is too weak for the truck. Dave
  3. Last 4 if anyone needs more let me know...I got the camera working...bad memory card Dave
  4. Sounds like torque management is kicking in. The PCM senses the torque output at the transmission and backs the timing off to lower torque. The only way to rid yourself of it is a custom tune. Dave
  5. Sorry my camera took a dump...I SWEAR I will have some up tomorrow. Sorry for the delay. Thanks Dave
  6. Max pressure on my stock Goodyears is 44psi or so it says on the side wall. I run 44psi in mine in hopes of a little better fuel economy. If the tire calls for a max of 44 I would be uncomfortable running less than 32-35. I know too much air will wear out the center of the tread and too little will wear out the edges. Dave
  7. I think it's fun to scare the Bejesus out of people. Maybe you could alert a slow or erratic driver who is talking on their cell. Anyway you slice it I see it as nothing more than fun. If I had the extra $$ I'd have them. Dave
  8. I had started a thread on PT but it's closed. How funny...apparently I am a woman at a hair salon and I like to start shit. Yeah that pretty much sums it up. My job is done I have pissed people off for my own enjoyment. Time to have a few cold ones Dave
  9. That metal paste is pretty normal for a new engine. It is made of parts that are breaking in mainly the rings and cylinder bores. The crosshatch on the cylinders and the rings kind of sand themselves together for a tight seal. There's probably a little metal from cam and lifter break in also. I wouldn't sweat it as long as it is just a little sludge. Dave
  10. I don't really know what they are scared of...I enjoy bantering back and fourth. I guess their weak hearts can't take it. I consider it Unamerican to buy a foreign car/truck whereever it's made. The money ultimately goes back overseas where they continue to ov ertax and tariff our products. I can't believe that the Japenese are gonna be in Nascar...they about shit themselves when they found out they had to have a pushrod engine. I really believe that they are trying to justify their purchase to themselves. I am also sure than none of them would get banned if they came over here and started bashing us since we are real men (and women) that can take the abuse much like our trucks. So c'mon Titan twerps do your worst. Dave
  11. HAHA I was one of those he was talking about (TitanSlayer) I got banned after one post Dave
  12. You may have a different problem...if changing the sending unit dosen't work, you may have a bad O-ring between the oil pump and the pump pickup tube. Possibly a bad oil pump. Bad news is the possible causes only get worse from there. First thing I would do is change the oil and use a AC delco filter and some 10w30. Normal oil pressure should be at least 15-20 at idle and 40+ while driving. Dave
  13. I think we're all big boys (and girls) over here. Personally I enjoy a heated debate...some funny shit normally comes out of it. I didn't get banned the second time (yet) but apparently we are trolls and turds over here. I even called them the Nissan gestapo and didn't get banned yet. Way I see it we are keeping it in the right forum over there and I'm just having fun. I don't think they wanna lurk around here if they're testicles aren't big enough to take a little good natured ribbing. Dave
  14. It's still there...yeah be careful of the Nissan Gestapo. What a bunch of homos
  15. For my money the torque converter would be first. It will lend itself to future mods: cam, tune, etc. It will get you off the line quicker. You can buy a reman Daaco or a new one plus about $2-250 for the install. A cam would be next on my list. Dave
  16. Glad to hear that Mark. It sure was nice to meet you at the Corvette museum. Have a happy thanksgiving short timer!! Dave Here is a link the the Good Morning America story. All you have to do is click on military family reunion.
  17. I got banned after one post and it wasn't all that hateful, anyhow I'm sure I'll get banned again since I just went on with my laptop. Oh well they are a bunch of Haters...my Screen name was TitanSlayer. Heheh Dave
  18. Wow I can't believe it...I can definately say it came a lot faster than I thought it would Dave
  19. Good deal keep us updated! Dave
  20. How sad, I do agree that it is kind of irresponsible to turn a kid loose with a fast car. I started out with a 307 1972 Chevelle built it up a little then wrecked it (fell asleep ) when I was 17. Since then I've built quite a few cars some have been pretty fast but I am always pretty careful. I don't pass on the right at 100mph I save my bursts of speed for when it's clear or at the track. I think I have a little more respect for my own cars and I know what they are capable of since I built them myself. My heart goes out to her family. Dave
  21. You're $100 closer to a stall or a tune...I love hearing about Mustang kills. Dave
  22. $900+the cost of a set of knee pads? Seriously dude you must have some connections or they "fell" off of the truck. Dave
  23. Ok, I'm registered now...TitanSlayer. The big thing I saw was that those guys are waiting for someone to figure out how to mod their trucks and for the aftermarket to start making things for them. Makes for some funny reading though. Dave
