It may not sound loud to you, but I gurantee you it sounds loud as hell to the person next to you in another car. Go find a nice big wall or tunnel and floor by it or in it a few times. The Corsa sport is NOT quiter than stock, are you kidding me? If it is, you didn't have stock exhaust. Are you sure you didn't get the touring edition by mistake? Kits look alike, but the touring is very quiet, about as quiet as stock. There is a guy on here with a video clip of his corsa sport with dynatech headers, it is not quieter than stock.

My experiences with all types of exhausts have come down to the most quiet in cab, obnoxious when you stomp on it, long lasting, worth every penny exhaust...the Corsa Sport...I've had flowmasters, dynomax, SLP, Borla...granted, on some different cars and different beasts, but none has compared to the craftsmanship and ease of install that the Corsa sport has. I picked up my used radix kit with intercooler, A-pillar gauge pod with two gauges, corvette trans servos, and other little stuff for $3,300 with 8k miles on it. i saw one on ebay go for $3,700 used with 25k miels on it. After its all sadi and done, with exhaust, headers, tuning, TB TC, trans work, and installation, I am going to be near $6k for everything. Not to bad for a high 12 second ride...my expectations anyways.

Get the Corsa sport exhaust, you won't be disappointed. No interior resonance, awesome WOT sound, and it will definetly accent the cam at idle. You can find the system for under $700 new. The only down side is it will not exit before the rear wheels like you want, it exits in the stock location behind the rear wheel.

Wow...they lowered the drag racing points in the last 6 years. Michigan has some of the most complex laws of any state I have ever seen.

Auto tap is around $200 and installs on your laptop. Just providing an option. You can't tune with it unless you purchase the LS1 edit software. Just log, monitor, and check/clear SES light codes. After checking out the HP stuff, I like it. A little more costly, but does a whole lot more than autotap.

6 points is for reckless Zippy! I lived in Michigan and got a careless driving ticket myself...3 points unless they changed it in the last three years. Drag racing is 6 points. By the way, on that note...Drag racing is defined as accelerating at a high rate of speed, not TWO cars racing each other...So...you can be issued a ticket for drag racing if you floor it from a light or a roll and there are no other cars around. Lots of room for discrepency in Michigan. They have many many ways to "pin" something on you if they want. I had a 15mph over speeding ticket and the judge swapped it to "impeding traffic" yes...you read that correctly...impeding traffic so I had no points put on my record but they got more revenue. See...the impeding ticket was $130 and the 15 over was only like $95...pretty clever on their part. I gladly paid the bigger ticket and avoided the huge insurance hike...

sorry missed it. You were posting at the same time I was! Although, you can get the dynatechs with cats for $1295 from summit racing brand new. These would have to make some good power to justify the expense.

$1850 for a set of headers? Might as well jsut get the coated dynatechs with highflow cats for $1500.

I beg to differ with you on that one. Just about everyoen of the supercharged grand prixs have had the problem. Very well documented on www.clubgp.com. Times would get worse by as much .5 seconds by hot lapping. Maybe its different in those cars, but I do know what I am talking about when it comes to the grand prixs. If it doesn't hold true for the radix and silverados, great. LS1 engines do have different and arguably better cooling than the L67 3800 seriesII engines.

Don't forget every time you use boost, you create more heat and there is something that happens called heat soak. The supercharger retains more and more heat after each WOT run. So every pass at the track will become slower until a certain point is reached. When running the M90 superchargers on the grand prixs we had the same problems. We would put bags of ice on the blowers and allow 1 hour in between each pass. Moral is...don't use boost until you need it!

Careless driving is a misdemeanor and does require a court appearance in michigan. He won't get lucky about calling the prosecutor. Although legal, huge no no in Michigan courts. He may even want to consult an attorney. An attorney for that type of case could run you up to $500-900 to handle it.
