  1. I still have the muffler and tailpipe with the tip (ps..for sale, I need this thing out of the shed)
  2. Sent you a PM...I can't remember what the p/n was. Dual in/out 50 series. It's the same size inlet/outlet as the factory (2 1/4 or 2 1/2 ??) I'd crawl underneath it, but we had a blizzard a day ago, so it's kinda cruddy right now around here....
  3. I have a 50 series flowmaster dual in/out muffler on the SS that exits in 2 tailpipes. I love the sound, it's perfect. The only thing I have noticed since installation is a considerable loss of low end power. Currently the only other mod I have done is a Nelson 91 octane tune. I don't really want to change the muffler out. I'm not impressed with the Magnaflow sound. Is there a way to get the low end back but keep the flowmaster? Would a X-pipe help or is there another series of Flowmaster I should look into changing to?? I'm assuming the X-pipe would not help. I would rather keep this sound . I guess it's because of a loss of backpressure with the flowmaster...Maybe late this year or early '08 I plan on a Radix. Would I be better off to wait until the radix install to worry about the low end being lost, or does the Flowmaster need to go away??? Thanks, Jason
  4. If this fits an 06 Silverado with BOSE, $35.00 shipped and I'll take it! No I don't believe it will, I think the connections are different....Thanks for checking though...Jason Hmmm... thats not good. But doesnt the SS come with BOSE? Just curious... thanks! After checking Metra's site and also Crutchfield.com with the P/N off my adaptor, it looks like it only works on models up to 2004....The P/N and pic of the model for your 06 is different. And it also looks like it depends upon your truck having Onstar and Sattelite also...You might want to check their website....If you find different, by all means, you can have it for $35.00 shipped...Just don't want to sell you something that is not going to work for your application.
  5. My dealership told me the same thing, that this is normal sounds from the front end of AWD trucks..My truck does not do it all the time though, thats the strange part...

  7. Metra adaptor for GM trucks, this came off a '03 Silverado, retains factory chimes, makes installation of aftermarket stereo very easy. Used 3 months $30.00 *GMRC01 if I remember right* Antenna adaptor for GM trucks using aftermarket stereo $5.00 Soundstream 4ga dual amplifier power kit. 4 ga wire to large fuse holder, back to dual distribution block for amp and negative distribution block also. Complete wiring kit, used 3 months, not hacked up, great shape. Will also throw in 50ft of unused 16 ga Soundstream speaker wire. $60.00 Soundstream Rubicon Lil Wonder 4 amp, not sure on exact specs, this ran 6 Bose speakers in my truck very well !! Great shape $75.00 Shipping not included. Email for info to [email protected] or post here on board.
  8. Is there a big price difference in just purchasing the parts seperate??? I have heard that the shocks are not necessary right off the get go, for the 2/2 drop...At least that is the route im going next week..Order the spindles #2508 and the shackle kit #6400 from summit...
  9. I can pretty much tell you what the service manager is going to say to you contacting the newspaper and TV....pound sand....But the BBB and FTC...that may spark some response from them....I'd go for it...If all else fails, go to another dealership...Good luck !!
  10. Stop messing around with the local managers, district dorks, whomever you have been dealing with. Go right to the corporate headquarters. Call them. If you have went thru the dealership service tech, to the manager, to his boss, etc etc, then it's time to go over their heads and make a complaint. Don't call and yell at them, just make it very well known that you are not happy, you don't spend $$$ on a truck and not have them back you when you have a problem, and that you will refer your family and friends to purchase another brand if it does not get resolved. I would also get a copy of the service write ups and document names of people who have helped and have not helped. Also tell them you want a quick resolution. I had a similar problem with Ford. Purchased a explorer from a local dealer with 32,000 miles on it. At 35,000 miles it developed some strange shifting problems and noises. Sent it to the dealer and they said, all ok, just the way this transmission sounds. At 37,000 miles (yes, 1000 miles out of warranty) the "all ok" transmission noise became so loud you could barely hear the radio and would not shift out of first....So I took it back and they said "sorry, this is out of warranty". I was livid. I kept my calm but basically told them it's bulls!* and we worked out a deal, where i paid $500 and they put a refurbed trans in with a 36,000 mile warranty on the trans alone.....Just be diligent..
  11. Man that sucks....Hope you get it turned around quickly...Jesus, Im almost afraid to even look in the transmission tech forum anymore. Last few posts have been about trans explosions....
  12. Sounds good everyone, thanks for the info....Hopefully will get the parts next week and install within a couple weeks, if I can ever get a weekend away from work....
  13. Thanks for the info...How hard are the spindles to install??? Never done them before...
  14. I've searched the forum and spoke to a few people about dropping my truck 2". I've decided to go with a Belltech setup with spindles up front, but am confused about the back. Do I need just the shackles or both shackles and hangers?? Do I need a shim kit ?? And can I use stock shocks for now until I can get Nitro's? This is for a '03 SSS...Thanks, Jason
  15. Thought I'd try the board first. Looking for Belltech 2" drop spindles and 2" shackles. Let me know if you have any and price....Thanks, Jason
  16. Thanks for clarifying that for us!! If I don't land a deal on the board with someone i will shoot you a Pm. I did check the GMPD site, but have heard they are rather slow at shipping. Thanks again...
  17. Hope she picks me..I no longer smoke, but my wife does. That would be as much interest in the SS that she haves.....Lol
  18. I found the seller on eBay but they say you need a different radiator to use these fans. Is that right? I saw the same thing also. I believe all of the SS's have the 34" radiator...Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think the smaller radiators are in the single cabs, etc...Not for sure though. Is that 34" width or height?
  19. Hey everyone, Not been around much, work and home have been keeping me from the site...Anyways, welcome to the board Vmax. I live in Johnston, but work right off Ne 14th Street down the way from Ankeny. I think we passed each other a couple times on 14th street before, I have a 03 black SS, tinted windows and access cover... If your still looking for a exhaust set, I have the factory setup from the muffler back, including tip. It's taking up room in my shed that I need...Pm me if your interested... Let me know if you guys end up meeting again sometime....Jason
  20. Mr-P I know you stated in a earlier post that installing a shift kit and servo can be done with the trans still in the truck. The only part im concerned with, is the ball bearing/check balls. It would be my luck they would come flying out and roll down the street....Or are they somewhat held in place ?? Thanks, Jason It's not hard, I would recommend that you be either walked-through it once or have someone you can call to answer the inevitable questions that come-up; the 4L60E's are much simpler to do a shift kit on than the earlier TH350/400's. Essentially you drain the fluid, remove the pan/filter, then unbolt the 2nd accumulator, valvebody/solenoids, & separator plate from the underside of the tranny (warning don't loose any ball-bearing check balls) and replace strategic parts in the assembly. Then reassemble, which I found to be the most laborious part of the whole deal. I was thinking of posting a how-to but the instructions are different between the Superior/zippy kit and the TransGo kit, plus if you buy the consumer version of the TransGo HD2-C kit it also comes with a step-by-step VHS. The Transgo kit's instructions are kinda thin, just a 2-page leaflet instruction guide, but with some support you can install yourself no prob. Mr. P.
  21. Im needing most of the parts for 2005 Efan installation. I have the shroud currently. Needing motors, fans and the harness. Let me know what you have. Thanks, Jason
  22. I've been wanting to do the driving light setup also. I'll start checking the local wreck yards and see if I can get some measurements from there. Won't be able to check until next week though.. On a side note, I just installed Nokya 100watt headlights in the truck last night...Not really liking them, after having the Silverstars. But one of the Silvers burned out only after 2 years (and not much night driving!!) I'll post info when I get measurements...
  23. My '03 had a similar problem 3 weeks ago. Heated seats would not come on, push the button, would light for a few seconds then shut off. Then the horn quit working. Then the seats would self adjust. Turns out it was the drivers side under seat wiring harness. 2 days in the shop and it works fine now....Jason
