SPEEDCRAVIN
OK Im ready to order some headers. I know a lot of you guys are running the A.Z. long tubes but what have you guys thought about the **SUPERMAXX** from TBYRNE. I like that it is a true bolt up system with out any cutting or welding and they have high flow cats as part of the system. has anyone ran this system and how did you like it. Plwtwo
I'm running the AZ's, but the guy who did the welding on them for me, said he put a set of "The Other Guys" headers on and he liked them!!!!! All he does is build and install exhaust so he probably knows what he's talking about. He's is the only person I'd heard say anything about those. Hadn't heard anything about the SuperMaxx's. howardl
Just recieved the supermaxx's last thursday and they look pretty good. After checking them out I found the drivers side head flange surface not flat by .050". Called them and they were very nice said send them back and they would get a new one out right away. Also be advised that they are not all stainless steel. The nuts and bolts are steel and the converters are steel as well! Sooo much for no rust, I may replace the nuts and bolts with SS myself. These are not up to the quality of my LPE corvette headers.
zippy
hard to find products as nice as one's from lpe. waiting yet for slp to come out with long tubes for trucks.
m396 #00-011
It would be nice if stainless works would come out with a truck header. I believe that's who makes LPE's and Mallett's corvette header.
PCMFORLESS
I ought to get Kooks to make a set of long tubes for our trucks. The set they made for my C5 were unbelievable stainless steel works of art. And the car sounds like a freaking indy car with the Borla Stinger exhaust. HDMLNIUM
Here is my thoughts on the Supermaxx headers and midpipes with high flow cats. I have a code thrown, my two rear o2 sensors are bad. Dynatech is making me new mid pipes soon I hope. The pipes were off a little bit with there design, I sent them (Dynatech) pictures and they said they would make me some new mid pipes. The drivers side rear o2 hits the fuel lines and has gone bad and the passenger rear o2 hits the floor and has gone bad. But Dynatech says they will make it right. I hope they do it soon. The cross over pipe also hit the front driveshaft and I had to dent it pretty good to clear it from the shaft. I should have told you guys about the problems I have with the mid pipes, but they seem to be a stand up company and they say they will make it right. And I think they will. Last I heard from them was they were going to Cali to do a system on a SS to get the right bends on the pipes for our trucks. The pipes I got were designed off an H2 which must be different. The longtube headers are great, but the mid pipes and cats could be a lot better in my opinion. Bill-03-SD

creederado
i've only heard good about the suprmax headers. Az was the first long tubes and I have had them for almost 5 years now and no complaints, Any decent welder can weld the new flanges on. Wait for a group purchase and get them cheaper than $650. I don't regret them at all.
howardl
HDMLNIUM when did you get your supermaxx system? I am wondering if mine are going to be a problem?
slimsoftball
I ordered the Supermaxx high flow cat/long tube header system also. Not really worried about it. If something is wrong I send it back for a new one.
blackhawk
I have ASM headers; no problems with fit or finish and have always been pleased with the sound. They added a noticeable upper rpm HP gain, but took sum of the low end torque, there is always a compromise…
