zippy
Looks like the truck is doing it's job of being consistant at least. When it comes to very tall gearing that only works well with big torque. Once you get the 2300 on there the truck will jump off the line and the tall gearing will actuall work for you instead of against you. The converter will be too loose, but worry about that when it happens. Right now the higher stall is helping. Brian, I thought you only used the nitrous once? rcapone
Only managed two runs for the very last test n tune of the year....place was PACKED with street cars & trucks. It was quite an improvement over my 14.2 baseline several months ago, BUT, I still need to go faster...soooo close to 11's! ">http:// ">http:// Here's a vid of my slowest run where I raced a modded Mustang that popped a pretty sweet wheelie off the line... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDjy8OWWEI0&feature=em-upload_owner Edited October 19, 2014 by L8ERBRO (see edit history)

rcapone
Thanks John. Even though almost all of the evening was spent waiting in line and on track clean up, it's always a good time to really let her loose on the 1/4 mile! rcapone
Congrats Randy nice time. Got that big boy movin. Thanks Jason, yeah she's pretty fast but there's always room for improvement Lookin good' I'm sure there's alot left in her still, is that the larger pulley? Thanks! No, I was afraid to add the 3.0" pulley until I upgrade my fuel system. She's maxed out right now at around 11 psi. I'm guessing I will see around 15psi with that 3.0 which should put me around 11.7 ish I think. Then, when/if I decide to add the TFS 235's I might see 11.5 or better...then I'll need a better rear end and the list goes on. I would have loved to break into the 11's, but at the end of the day, I'm really not looking to break any records at this time and I don't think I'm ready to drop another 5k + for only a half second if I'm lucky. Honestly I just wanted a fast street truck that could smoke just about anything that pulled up next to me so I'm pretty content at the moment. Here are both runs... 2003_SuperSport
I couldnt hear any or see any front end movement, but did you have any front wheel spin? rcapone
I couldnt hear any or see any front end movement, but did you have any front wheel spin? Nope, none. The tires usually just chatter off dry pavement, but with all that rubber already on the track, there was none whatsoever. It's more or less a love hate relationship with the 80e...I'd love to do an AWD burnout, but at the same time (and as you can see from my MPH) the mid range and top end are really impressive. I've really got to figure out a way to lower my 60' some way or another. I'm sure the 3.0 or 2.7 blower pulley will help some, but maybe I should look into some smaller diameter wheels and drag radials as I'm sure the 305/40/22's are slowing me down some too. 2bfast
What did your stall speed flash too off the line?
2bfast
BTW, congrats on the times. Not bad for the first shake down. Also the truck is looking killer.....but get rid of those mud flaps bro. Intros and mudflaps dont jive ;)
rcapone
Thanks Brian. Yeah, she's not quite dialed in yet because the AFR is off. It's consistently flash stalling just under 3k, like 2950 if I remember, and trust me, I told PI to make the tightest converter possible for my setup. lol, it's funny how everyone notices those damn mud flaps but me. They were on the truck when I bought it and I keep forgetting to take them off! 2bfast
I think it needs more stall speed But someone might correct me on that
