  1. I could see a slight lean condition, but not a misfire. It is my understanding that flashing SES means serious misfire only.
  2. I just ordered one of these also. It looks like a pretty good unit, and cheaper than that AMW unit that doubled in price recently. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mine will be here Wed! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL now they are back ordered too! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Really, did you try ordering one? Early bird gets the worm
  3. Not so sure Zippy is selling his kit anymore. He'll put it in for you, pretty sure. If you're close to him. Can always go with a Transgo HD-2 kit.

  5. Measure accross the center of the face, I would presume. Measure where the belt rides to the other side where the belt rides. Is that what you were saying also?
  6. So they claim to put on the stock air box, fix the "real" problem, tell you it was your air box and charge you to fix what the problem really was. If I knew it was number 3, the dealer would be the last person to touch. For the most part, it's either the coil, plug, or plug wire. I have never heard of a coil failing and you replaced the other two. The last thing would be the number 3 injector. That injector is about $45 for 1 - not from the dealership. A coil pack from the dealership is like $80 or so.
  7. I personally have never used it and it was only used for a small period of time by a member on here. Practically brand new. It has never been hooked up to my truck, but I assume it works just fine. Everything seen here + all the accessories Innovate Website - all except for the bung, but you can get on there for $9. Only selling because I want to go with something different. Asking $225 + shipping. Prefer paypal, but will take other forms of payment.
  8. I would rule out coils for now just by how much they cost. If you had scanning software, you could scan for misfires by cylinder. Just get the code cleared for now and go from there.
  9. gotchya, didn't know it got that bad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Your truck is doing it also....probably all are. It is a fact of the motors we have. How much it does is just a matter of how bad the problem is.
  10. Go to autozone and have it cleared. Find out what the code is while you're there. The light will not automatically go out if you fixed the problem without going through a few times of the code not being set.
  11. I didn't put in the burst panels, no. Is that what you mean? I got the catchcan from McKinney Race Works, or something like that. Someone else started a thread on here recently about catchcans. I ordered one from that thread.
  12. Requires no more than a standard spark plug socket.
  13. Ben, what's the catch can for? I don't follow <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Catchcans will trap that oil that gets by your PCV valve and gets into your intake. I don't have a PCV valve currently and I seen evidence of oil getting into my intake when I had the truck intake off. So much, that oil was in all my intake runners on my heads. I need it bad.
  14. Sounds like the 408 needs some work.
  15. I thought this was illegal and not too good on the engine? there was a long discussion about this...but I dont think that it ended up working <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL, do you think most on here are concerned about lagality on what they do with their trucks? I've heard it can be done with a custom OS.
  16. If you mean higher ratio rockers, Crane makes 1.8s that will work. Try going to Tbyrne's site, he has them. Link is on the left.
  17. Flashing SES usually signifies a serious misfire. There are some very minor things that can cause it. If you do not want to touch it, I understand. I have had it happen to me just from the plug end of a plug wire not making good solid contact. So I have a taken a pair of slip-joint pliers and put the wide opening part around my boots and slowly sqeeze just a little. They make better contact to the plugs after. Some plug ends can screw off - some don't. If they are not on tight your plug could mis-fire. The main thing is the plug wires themselves will click on the plug end once and you will hear and feel two clicks on the coil end. A coil could be going bad or a plug wire.
  18. You cut your pipes 1/4" in front of the cats, then weld on a flange that bolt to the headers.
  19. Nice work Have you been able to tell yet if you fixed your fueling issues?
  20. I took the module and just connected hose to it on both ends. It runs to the back just like the hard plastic one does and to the rear of the TB. You can only put the module so far back because the harness connection comes off the same one as the alternator and doesn't allow you to move it too far away from the front. It is laying on the driver's side between the fuel rail and injectors about half way back. You can't even see it unless you are looking for it.
  21. Is that the unit that sits on top of the intake, just above the TB?
  22. Damn...let's hope most are not dishonest.
