  1. Those are some awe inspiring time slips Brother. Keep up the good work.
  2. Oh yeah. I love a bit of chrome on a black truck. Those wheels are ( . ) ( . ) s
  3. WOW! That's a heck of a truck. I'd like to hear what you think of the engine / trans combo when you get a few miles on it.
  4. Congrat's bud. You have to have put in plenty of work to get her to this point. Your truck looks great. I like the wheels.
  5. I hope that any members, and members families, affected by the storm Harvey, are safe. Hope all those folks down there get their lives back soon. Check in and let us know whats up when you get a chance.
  6. Don't get all butt hurt. We're trying to educate. Neither Richard's nor my post was meant as an attack on you. There are a lot of helpful brothers around here if your just cool enough to get along.
  7. I bought OEM replacements but haven't installed them yet. Guy's say that the OEM replacements aren't as good as original were, but better made than most aftermarket. I plan to silicone the heck out of them before I install them. I personally haven't seen a smoked set or a set of projectors that I think look as good as stock. (Especially the projectors) I'm no fan of the "murdered look" and if you don't go full bore murdered, (with the whole truck), smoked just looks dirty to me.
  8. Sounds like an "I got my eye on you" stop. At least he just gave you warning tic's.
  9. That's better than losing your modification bucks, isn't it, or would you have been better off it was totaled?
  10. Good luck with that deal bro. I think your a little light.
  11. I bought one a while back. Haven't installed it yet but it looks pretty good to me. Change the foam and heater element while your at it. These guys have some pretty good how to video's. https://www.google.com/search?q=seat+shop+youtube&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
  12. These are good, well made, parts. I bought the same kit for my AWD. Best luck with your sale.
  13. Great looking low mileage truck. GLWS.
  14. LOL. I hear you on the dust. I live about 1/8th mile down a relatively busy dirt road. My truck stays looking real good about 2 hours after a wash, and that's if I get up real early and wash her before the sun comes up. Got a laugh out of your "Ching Chong" and Matt's "Wang Foo". Never heard either of those but they are both real descriptive. to both of you.
  15. Welcome to the site. Congrats on talking your bud out of the truck. I haven't read a lot about squeak's while turning. Is it squeaking while you turn the steering wheel or as the truck goes through the turn? Squeak over bumps or on flat road too?
  16. Thanks for the comparo photo. They do look OK. Do they fit tight in the bumper cover? Is that flake in your paint? Looks good.
  17. I suspected that it must have spent time in a rougher climate. It looks like a ton of work with hand tools. You shouldn't have to do that job again, anyway.
  18. Nice work on the frame rehab. That bumper was rough. I wouldn't have figured Kentucky would be that bad for rust. Did the truck spend time in the rust belt? Did you blast the rust or clean it up by hand?
  19. It's always frustrating when a vehicle starts nickle and dime-ing you but give it plenty of thought. Most guys wind up regretting selling.
  20. Ya; The truck looks bad but the Malibu looks worst. Good to hear that no one was riding the pole in the bed. Good to hear that your OK.
  21. Wow, John. Sure sorry to see this. Is everyone OK? I'm no insurance adjuster but that looks expensive to me.
  22. That's a lot of purple. You going to restore it or hot rod it?
