  1. Another approach that has worked for me is catch her eye and if she seems interested, just walk up to her, give her a compliment and give her your number. Just tell her if she is interested in chatting, hanging out, whatever to give you a call. If she calls you know she is interested. If not, no loss. Plus the more you do it, the more comfortable you will get. I should also point out that its been statistically proven that of all compliments, women are most likely to respond positively if you compliment their lips.
  2. So think I found the site I was looking for and they want over $500 for each caliper, so no way. A guy over on the Corvette forums just sold all four calipers, banjo bolts, lines (for a Corvette) and pads for $1000.
  3. That pic above is why all the hardware I use is coated.
  4. Here is my take on this whole thing. I've always had a way of flirting with chicks and never had a problem meeting them. But I was also a man whore and always seemed to end up with the wrong ones. Why? Because I was always meeting girls at bars, clubs, etc. You want a nice girl? More than likely you won't find her at a club or bar. Want a drama free girl? You won't find her by "being a dick" or ignoring her. The best way to find someone for a long term relationship is through a common bond. Find someone with similar interests. Figure out something you really like to do and do it with others. That will open the door to a conversation. Also, be a gentleman. I have a buddy that is very similar to you with the whole no approach/pickup game, working a lot, but not totally the same. He could not and would not approach girls at all. He had no game at all on the pick up. But if I got them to come over to us and start talking he was the man. He never was a dick, ignored them or played games. He just said what was on his mind, was himself, made a few jokes and treated every girl like a lady. I saw more "good girls" throw themselves at him than you can imagine. You'd be amazed how far being a gentleman will get you. It might not get you laid that night or the next. But in the end it will pay off. Also, girls get hit on all the time. Don't be like every other dude that thinks they are a player. Be unique. Stand out. My same buddy never took girls out on a "typical date". He would take girls to the dog park with his dog for first dates, so he could see their reactions to his and other dogs. His dog was like his daughter so for him so for him it was a good test. He would take girls out for a ride on his bike through the canyons, out by the beach and then have dinner at a hotdog stand. He figured he would do things he liked and if the girl didn't like it, then they weren't meant to be. For a while I dubbed him "the cyber pimp". I would go over to his house and he would be chatting with six or seven girls at the same time. He would ask girls stuff that you would never ask a girl at a bar or in person after meeting them for 5 minutes. But the girls would answer and he dropped them one after the other based on their answers. The best parts of it, he didn't have to buy them a drink, he didn't have to pay a cover, and he didn't waste more than a few minutes. In the end he met a chick on myspace. They met up to hang out as friends. They kissed for the first time after a month and four months from the day they first met, they got married and it will be eight years this December. All because they had a common bond and were friends first.
  5. You want to use the 15" one or two piece. The both have the same dimensions. The two piece are lighter and will make your wallet a lot lighter too. The first couple of versions of the adapter brackets were built around the 14" rotors but a good amount of the pads didn't contact the rotors. Supersub designed a newer/better bracket to work with the 15" rotor, but only made a handful. The ones I sell are a slightly modified version of supersubs design. I may have a source for the calipers without the decal on them at a cheaper price. Let me see if I can find the link.
  6. Sure you don't want to sell it? Part of the reason I wanted it so bad is to possibly make more since Art is no longer making them.
  7. I feel the same way. Someone sent the funds before me by only an hour.
  8. I think you are confusing "true posi" and a spool. Posi is a slang for the GM Posi-Traction rear end. Posi or posi-traction is a limited slip differential. You are correct that a locker and limited slip will allow your wheels to turn at different speeds while turning. A spool on the other hand locks the axles together and forces both wheels to turn at the same speed. You will hear people refer to them as full spools, which replace your whole carrier, and mini spools, which replace the spider gears. You will also hear people mention welded spider gears, which is the low-buck/homemade way to get the same result as a mini spool. Either way you do not want any kind of spool, mini spool or welded spider gears in a daily driver. Now a locker is not a limited slip. Limited slips use clutches, gear cones, etc to limit the amount of power going to the wheel with the least amount of traction. Lockers on the other hand lock the axles together and act as a spool would, making both wheels turn the same. But when you turn it dis-engages and re-engages. Lockers will sometimes make an audible sound and sometimes you can feel them to locking and unlocking going around turns.
  9. On any vehicle I own, if I have to open the brake system I usually replace the stock bleed screws with speed bleeders. They make life a lot easier and you can bleed the system by yourself.
  10. Not sure why they started a new thread for the results but check out the link below for the results http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/76687-bbp-independent-intake-test-results/
  11. I believe its called color shift
  12. There was a guy over on performancetrucks selling his unit he got from trick. I emailed him but never got any answers back.
  13. Didn't see it answered or mentioned in a previous post but while you have it apart and if you have the funds, I'd be thinking about a built transmission or swap to an 80.
  14. I've heard that part of the reason for the no red on the front of your vehicle is that it confuses people. As you are driving towards them with red on the front of your truck they can't tell if you are facing them or going away. That is why all tail lights have to be red and headlights white. So other drivers can tell which direction you are traveling.
  15. Tried pming you and it says your inbox is full. I'll take the last one.
  16. Don't know about Alaska, but in California any blue light can get you a ticket for impersonating a police officer. Just a heads up. It would suck to go through all the trouble/work only to have to take them off.
  17. I can just image a stock height Lightning and seeing some fat chick get in and the thing leans over.
