No, this is DEFINITELY one of the better forums I've been on. If you think this site is bad, IDK. I love this site myself. I've never really noticed any "off topic" posts, TBH.

Yeah, you should've saw my response to the op before I realized it was a year old. I had a whole paragraph typed out and then I had to erase it for fear of looking stupid, after I saw the dates.

Towing plus 6.0l plus 4l60 transmission = quick death of transmission. The cortex is not a very powerful tool and may make the 5.3l programming even worse for the 6.0l. Get it tuned by a tuner(someone who has the right equipment) or leave the 5.3 tune on the computer with the 6.0l, IMO. Many people run the 5.3 tune with the 6.0l engine until they can save up for the tune.

I use that "cheap shit" from walmart. I've used both connectors form the local advance and o'reilly's and the 3m brand from wal-mart beats it hands down in quality.

All ss's had the lq9. There was nothing more special about an 07 than say an 06. To NOT_SLO, they did make them in the 07 model. Chevy called those the 07 classic style.

A relearn is worth a shot as well, IMO. Do the passlock procedure on that page exactly as it says. Just disconnect the battery for a while to clear the codes on the first step.

Paint those rims gloss black and I think it would look good. Otherwise those rims are crap, IMO.

Yeah, you need to cam it. You can get more than enough lift for stock heads with a cam and stock rockers. Just be careful doing both rockers and a cam, make sure your valve springs can handle that kind of lift. Also ptv clearances with high ratio rockers.

Final drive on the 4l65 is roughly the same as the final drive on the 4l80. However some of the gears are different, most notably, first. 2300 at 70 with 4.10 gears is spot on. Now if you're talking gm 6 speeds, yes their final drive is a little higher of a gear.

You mean the rocker ratio(1.7)? You can upgrade them to ls7 rockers if you want, which are 1.8.

I like the second ones, my friend has the first ones on his 2005 1500 and they don't grip well at all on wet pavement or mud. But they are pretty good in the sand.

Is that just a cap on the wire or does it actually have pins in it as well?
