  1. No, I agree with you. I run 93 myself of course I run 11-1 compression. But when I was stock with 9.5-1 compression I got better gas mileage with 87 running stock timing than I did with 93 octane and increased timing. And it seemed to have better torque. dunno.gif But the everyday normal person probably wouldn't notice a difference between running 87 and 93 octane in their ss. My thoery is that with a lower compression engine, running high timing is useless because it won't knock until it's over min. best torque. But, it's just that, a theory, you'd know way more than I on the subject.

  2. When you click the high it keeps the low beams on as well, keeps your hid from turning on and off quickly if you flash your brights. Plus it makes the high beams brighter, being assisted by the hids. The way it is now, the lows are probably brighter than the highs.

Here's the wirteup I used the first time I did it on a pickup for somebody, couldn't be any easier.

  3. Love the idiotic " hate the checkerboard paint " comments. It's call camo, all automakers use it to try to disguise cars and I can't believe these idiots don't know that.

    @ Mr. 3/4 ton SS - it's just a vinyl wrap.

The funny part they even explain the camo lol...

Huh, good info. I didn't even watch the whole video. banghead.gif

  4. He's talking bout' one of dem' der iphones. Paint job looks pretty cool, I like that kinda matte finish, makes it look sorta badass. Reminds me of a chevelle paint job for some reason. Maybe I've been watching too much fast and furious, IDK. thumbsup.gif

  5. Yeah they run pretty good. A few of my buddy's are hard core diesel junky's. i've seen some fast ass trucks up here. like 10sec trucks. diesel's are big up here. but with my SS being boosted i have never lost to one. i've had some damn close race's but me being AWD it helps a lot. they try to spool it up at a light but they don't get good traction. i've seen a few guys load them up off the line and launch in 4wd and break driveshafts.

Wow, breaking a driveshaft, never heard of that one. A front diff, all the time, but a driveshaft, wow. Tons of built dury's around here as well, with their propane kits and whatnot. Although there are a just as many that high school kids were given that just aren't crap. But they think they are. closedeyes.gif
