  1. Yeah, you're right, that was way too harsh. It's your truck, if a turbo makes you happy, then go for it. I say visit a syclone or typhoon forum to see what you can do or what you can achieve with just the 4.3.
  2. An idiot? Especially in a full size truck. Why not a turbo'd 4 cylinder in a pickup, I bet no one has one of those either.
  3. For some reason, I actually like that, minus the fog lights, gas cap, and tail lights.
  4. Why are you putting a turbo on a 4.3, I mean they did fair on sy's and ty's but those are light small size trucks. Put a lq4(lower comp) in it first, then you can turbo it later, IMO.
  5. There's still no way my 30 inch tires cause me to turn a grand less rpm at x speed with the same gear ratios unless you have a non lockup converter.
  6. You sure about that? You didn't happen to mean 2200-2400 did you? I have 4.10s and I'd have to be doing 85 or so to be in that range. And I will say my mileage at those speeds sucks. Now 65 or about 2200, I get pretty good.
  7. I know what you mean, books are f**kin' expensive, even used ones.
  8. You got it all wrong. You should be asking what tune does everybody recommend performance wise with some mpg gains. I bet most recommend zippy.
  9. You mean you don't have a tune yet? Trust me, you haven't unleashed that engine until you get a good tune. 93 octane, preferably, but if you're cheap, a 87 octane might help you a little performance wise. But I doubt you'll see enough, economy wise, to justify the cost of the tune.
  10. 17 isn't all that bad for a ext. cab 2wd, I mean jeez I get around 14 myself. Nothing helps mileage more than a good tune-up, IMO. I gained around 2 mpg from changing my worn out plugs, and I bet I could get a little more with new o2's, but 14 is fine for me. Also, get rid of that 4.8, I don't know how you even stand to drive that thing, not only is it a dog but it gets worse mileage than a 5.3 from my experience.
  11. You can't "open" the housing, however the whole housing will pop out of the door panel, just make absolutely sure your screwdriver is behind the whole housing and not just the lens when you pry on it. Also, you pry on the opposite side of the housing as the light is on. Be gentle and it should pop right out with minimal force.
  12. I saw that TahoeSS on youtube the other day doing a burnout in a parking lot.
  13. 4wd, so you can choose. They should've just put the 4wd selectable front diff in it and the awd t-case. Unlock the front diff for playing.
  14. Such a nice SS ruined with those clear euro tail lights and those things over the rear windows. And step bars on a lowered pickup, wow.
  15. I mean, what is the big deal, you shouldn't be trying to roll up the windows when they're already up anyway. Now stepper motor noise is just awesome, I love it when they used to use a program on those older computers that used the floppy drive and made music. with it.
  16. Gray>chrome. But at least she's not against spending money on it.
  17. I've got 6000 kelvin color lows and fogs. In my sig pic they aren't warmed up fully yet, I had just turned them on for the pic.
  18. What kind of exhaust is that? I'm getting tired of my flow bastards.
  19. I don't really mind this one being posted, It looks like so much more of a decent truck than that other thing. Plus the owner seems respectable so far. And this site is slow(lacks people), what is the problem?
  20. That is definitely different, I wonder what his reserve is on it.
  21. I swear that tire says R16 and not R17. Looks like it says P265/75R16.
