  1. (looks for barf emoticon, but doesn't find it) at least it's not stick on chrome......for the most part.
  2. Welcome and good luck with the find. What prompted the want to move from Texas to Australia, if you don't mind me asking?
  3. Well, I didn't recall correctly after all. Thanks for clearing that up.
  4. If you wanna be cheap and you don't care at all about onstar, then you can purchase a fake antenna that will stick on with molding tape and not require you to pull the headliner down to install the antenna, plus it will look factory. Like this one. HERE
  5. That's called chrome cladding chevrolet does that on A LOT of their wheels as well.
  6. Personally I wouldn't use the flex injectors. IIRC, the standard injectors are 28lbs and the flexs are 32, not much of a difference, those ford injectors are probably bigger, see what size they are and there's your answer.
  7. On the passenger side should be an xm antenna, on the driver side there should be an onstar antenna. It should look like this pic, zoom in.
  8. Oh yeah, make sure your ohms or the way the speakers are wired is correct as well. I believe, if that's a two channel amp, it's only 4 ohm stable not 2.
  9. Well, I figured that much. Eventually that light will turn red and stay red though trust me. You'll have to buy another amp if that happens. But like I said, you're probably getting too much power (voltage) on your inputs or your gain is bad, those two things are both simple to adjust, I assumed you installed it yourself, but if not go back where you got it and tell them to adjust your gains properly.
  10. And you've matched your output voltage level on the LOC to the Input gain on the amp?
  11. Yes, are the rca's tied into the factory sub with a LOC?
  12. Your gain setting on the amp is too high or your rca lines are too high. Or did you just tap into the speaker wires and plug them into the high level inputs on the amp? In other words, you need to tell us how you wired the inputs on it. It's obvious that it's going into "safe" mode to prevent burning up the pre stages in the amp.
  13. Looking great! Not to be a jerk-off, but the ss is upside down in those pics.
  14. Feel free to slam directed. Mine is an Excalibur, no better than a viper maybe worse. But, they're local right here in Georgia and they made it easy for me to get one. I just wanna hurry and get the thing hooked up where I can actually tell if it's worth its weight in salt. It's just taking me forever to get all the windows hooked up to all my relays to make the 2nd and 3rd channel control my windows. It took me 6 relays just to be able to control the front doors. 4 of those were just for the drivers side, passenger side wouldn't have took me any if I had some diodes on hand. Nice slam! Who needs hundred dollar modules when you can make your own?
  15. You gotta love it when at the end of a long line exclamation points, there's a 1. Hold that shift button people!
  16. That is a good idea, but I thought magnetic switches were closed(circuit) when shut and open when separated. And the alarm calls for something that closes when separated. I guess I must be wrong though, because it seems like house alarms would call for something that is closed when separated as well.
  17. I like the built in power outlet in the dash, that is so convenient.
  18. Excellent find, even I would be all over those if my truck didn't have 8 lugs...
  19. I mounted mine to the plastic support bracket right behind the headlight with a big zip tie.
  20. The general rule of thumb is 35w=no relay and 55w=relay. But you didn't specify your wattage.
  21. Laws vary by state, but not here in Georgia they can't. How much you roll your windows down is up to you and they can't ask you to do anything else unless they find drugs or some other probable cause. At that time they can search your vehicle, and (if they wanted to) roll up your windows and check them.
