  1. Nah just giving you a hard time.... I've seen way to many problems with K&Ns..... I made a lot of money when I worked at the dealer for a few years. Loved it when people over oiled their filter and toasted a MAF or transmission......
  2. I would check all you connection and make sure you don't have a leak on your "custom" intake.... if you don't have a nice tight fit you could be getting additional air by the MAF and tripping a code. As stated above find out the code and post....
  3. Lol, I agree low options.... the cloth trucks didn't get an SS headrest.
  4. Not mine but a nice clean 06 for sale is someone is looking.... I think they are a little high on their price IMHO..... https://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/6169327198.html
  5. Why not try a local auto wrecker? There are a million GMT 800's laying around in junk yards. I'm sure you could find one local. The mirrors were the same across all the GMT 800 trucks. It was not "special" to an SS. You can pop the part off that matches the body color.....
  6. What people ask and what they actually sell for are two vastly different things.....
  7. Actually not bad.... I have electric trailer brakes on both axles of my trailer.
  8. Yes.... my red 69 Chevelle or my red 02 SS Camaro would look better though......
  9. I used the truck to drag my friends 72 home from the paint shop. This is the heaviest car to date I've had on the back. I haven't put my Chevelle on the back yet. Truck did great I did 70-75 the way home with no problems...... lol.

  11. Ditto that..... I don't care for their gun laws and I don't care for their vehicle laws.
  12. No way you could get 30k for one of these trucks.... for a little bit more you can get a new truck with all the bells and whistles..... that and nobody will finance a truck that old so your going to need a cash buyer..... and those don't exactly grow on trees.
  13. Unless it has California emission then probably not.... It's possible it has it or 50 state emissions but you would need to look at emission label. I would ask the seller to verify for you. Often you will find states that border with California will order vehicles CA emissions... so its possible depending on where it came from originally....
  14. Since you know the number (433) I assume you have the COA with it? Sadly they are worth about the same as a regular 'ol Silverado SS. The ISS package may add a small premium of 1000-1500 over a regular SS. The ISS package doesn't add as much as you think to the value and at the end of the day its a 11 year old truck. I would tell you go and enjoy it and put some miles on it. As long as you don't tear it up and put 100,000 miles on it your not going to hurt the value that much. I would say it's worth probably in the low 20's as far as value as that seems to be the going rate for a low mile SS these days. I bought my red 06 3 years ago with 48K (now at 65K) and it would bring 20ish which is about what I paid 3 years ago..... At the end of the day Dale's been dead a long time and its only worth what someone is willing to pay....
  15. You could get the wheel controls without Onstar but it was a stand alone option that you had to check. In prior years it came standard..... if you weren't savvy at ordering you would end up with a truck like I have totally loaded but no wheel controls.....
  16. FYI.... all the SSS were built in Canada. When it comes to replacement sheet metal you get what you pay for. Cheap knock off sheet metal will fit like crap. I've never tried CAPA sheet metal.... ive tried bumper covers and had so so luck. CAPA stands for certified auto part association they claim same fit form and function as OE. I disagree the best is going to be Genuine OEM parts. Places like LMC mostly sell repop crap if they do sell OE parts they are buying from a dealer and marking up, go direct and find a local dealer who may deal with you. If not find an online place.... but I'm not aware of any GM part places in Canada but immsure there is one.....
  17. I'm like you and would have preferred cloth but typically the SSS were ordered loaded out..... they did de-content them towards the end and you can find some with cloth.... usually it's always a cloth bench in front. I'm not sure I've seen a SSS with cloth buckets. If they made them it has to be pretty darn rare....
  18. Hope you learned you don't drive through puddles..... lol. Your lucky you didn't do some damage. I would check your diffs and t case. Make sure no water got in the vent tubes..... sounds like you got in a little deep.......
  19. The one in Cali seems a bit over priced. It doesn't have leather or a roof and they are asking top $. But low mile trucks that aren't all beat to crap are getting harder to find. For context I bought my 06 2.5 years ago with 48k and fully loaded leather and moon roof for low 20s.
