  1. Just a suggestion... you may want to add how many miles are on it....
  2. If you have access to carfax you could run vin and see where it is registered.
  3. You don't have any service records, old DMV paperwork.... nothing? Another option might be to call dealer you purchased at. If you ever took it in for warranty or maintenance it should still be in the their in house system. They should be able to look up your name and pull and VINs on your account. Only way it might not would be if a previous owner took it there they would reassign VIN to new customer.
  4. You may have better luck posting in the "wanted" and for sale section.... you can still buy the bumper new from GM or there are aftermarket ones available.
  5. They are still available new from GM. I would verify before you order... Ebony Fronts - 19121921 Ebony - Rear - 19121928
  6. They only made it in blue. I have seen these for a while.... I thought about getting one. It I have over 10 car/truck ornaments.... if I get anymore my wife may kill me. She doesn't want a tree that looks like a showroom. Lol
  7. I would start and see if your truck has option code for auto climate control. Im not sure the option code and I'm not sure if I still have a book to look it up. You will need to check your glove box label. If it doesn't even have it your chasing your tail. I would start there first. Second you need to either pay someone or get your hands on a good scan tool. Rather than keep throwing parts at it and hope you get it right. A good scan tool can check door position and manually move them. Then you can determine exactly which door if any have a problem.
  8. Hmm ok. Well I put the best silver star bulb in a few years ago when I bought the truck. It is a white color not yellow and the light output is almost as good as my high beams. Guess I'll just stick with what I have.
  9. Except for the tail lights that look like they are from a Karmann Giha I like it...
  10. Ok you peaked my interest..... so I researched a HIR bulb. Sounds interesting.... anyone running them and do they really work? Would like to see a picture of the light color as well.
  11. You might want to call this place.... it was an SS BBQ! http://www.ebay.com/itm/GRILLE-SS-UPPER-FITS-03-05-SILVERADO-1500-PICKUP-118522-/282332404236?fits=Model%3ASilverado+1500%7CSubmodel%3ASS&hash=item41bc529a0c:g:4TsAAOSwzaJX5BGD&vxp=mtr
  12. The wheels and funky interior kill it for me. It needs a nice tidy tight leather interior... it just looks tired to me.
  13. You might have a problem with the blend door motor.... common problem for them to go bad. Only way I know to check is with a Tech 2.
  14. Welcome.... Your right a pickup is very handy around the casa!
  15. I bet it's easy over a hundred bucks. Due to weight and size I bet it won't be cheap.... I've heard of but never used Grayhound freight. Yes that Grayhound, the bus lines does large items for cheap(er). I think the only catch is you have to take to a bus depot and pick up at one. On the plus side they usually aren't in the best part of town so you can see some sketchy characters......lol.
  16. The aspirator is located in the headliner by the drivers head. If you pull headliner down you may see the wires up there. There is a small plastic grille the covers it. It is basically a fan and pulls cabin air into the sensor.... Note not my picture but I found on the 'ol interweb....
  17. What year is your truck? I have a service manual for my 06. It "should" be the same wiring..... I could take a picture and upload.
  18. Welcome.... nice to see another 2006. Most likely you have the infamous intermediate steering shaft clunk. Google it and you will find 1,000,000,000,000 (yes billion) questions about it.... if it's a clunking type noise that you may feel in the steering wheel at slow speeds or when going down a bumpy road that is it.... you just need to replace the shaft. It's about a $70 dollar part.
  19. Based on your signature photo I'm guessing your motor is in an air boat... this form is pretty slow. You might be better off going to the LS form for your engine questions.... just sayin'.
  20. Files hosted by the site need to be small. I can't do from my phone I usually do from my laptop .... you will need to resize pictures to a smaller size(smaller file size also). Your other option is to use a photo host service like photo bucket etc and post link to pictures.
  21. Yes the check engine light will come on. It will likely set a code for post cat performance. I have never done but you will likely need to have a custom tune done to turn off the post O2 sensors. They used to sell "simulators" that would generate a signal so it would fool the computer into thinking the cat was still in place. I think they have since been baned and are no longer available. Also if you live in an area that does state inspections / emission checks you won't pass.
