  1. FYI 1AAA auto sells either repo parts or if it is oem they buy from a dealer who marks up and then 1AAA auto marks up again..... go direct to a dealer and skip a level of markup or goto a place like gmparts.com. It's a dealer who basically sells at cost plus 10ish and then bangs you on shipping but still cheaper then retail at your local dealer.... unless he is willing to deal a bit......
  2. Quality and aftermarket are words that don't belong in the same sentence.....
  3. A pho max? 4.8 with the max cover..... lol!
  4. Welcome. What part of Iowa? We used to live outside of Des Moines and I got transferred down to the South 3 years ago..... don't miss my snow blower!
  5. I get the same.... you don't see many. It helps the design has aged well..... I just turned 63k its becoming a beater..... lol.
  6. Ummm.... you carefully drill out the middle of the rivit......
  7. EXGM

    Really?

I think when you got cloth on an ISS they put those on. Starting in late 05 you could get cloth on an SS and it carried into 06 and 07. It's probably rare since most ISS had leather but dude quit using the meth your brewing.....
  8. In my opinion it's not that collecable. They made lots..... if You have the COA that would add a little valve. Fact is Dales been dead a long time and now it's a 11 year old truck. You can probably get a small "premium " over a standard Silverado SS but maybe a thound or two tops. Yours would be collectible if it had like zero miles or really low like only a few thousand miles. At end of the day it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. The other thing working against you is the age. It will be hard for someone to finance an older vehicle so now your looking for a cash buyer.... and they don't grow on trees. If you want top dollar advertise in places that specialize it collector vehicles like Hemings etc. If your really adventurous try and sell it at an auction.....
  9. You can repair them you just need to find the break in the grids.
  10. Yeah if you pulled that spoiler off I'm sure you could get a pretty penny for it.... It looks out of place on there. I've never seen a Home Depot Avalanche.... uh... not my taste... lol.
  11. All Tahoes and any GM truck with a 5.3 or 4.8 had the 4L60. The 65 only came in higher output horsepower applications by GM. So trucks with the 65 would be the SSS, any vortex max, H2, Denali, TBSS and Escalade..... since the Gibbs were modified by 3rd party it just had a regular old 60.
  12. This site has a VERY small file size limit. If you trying to upload a large file over 1 meg the site won't work. You will need to use a 3rd party picture hosting like photo bucket etc. I can't do from my phone so I hop on the 'ol computer and resize my image to under a meg and it will work.
  13. Ive never had a problem with a mess but mine is a 2wd. But I also have a lift and a catch can on wheels...... lol.
  14. That or a intake leak.... to test intake get a can of brake clean. Slowly work your way down one side spray a little brake clean where intake meets head. If RPM increases you've found the leak.
  15. also oh so 90's.... but way cooler... and one hell of a guitar player I might add! Woo!
  16. That's what worries me... they cost 150 for both... that won't buy you one OEM light! Lol. So why did you switch out? Quality? Not happy with light... why?
  17. I love orange! Like your other car....
  18. When I worked at a Dealer between jobs I saw way to many problems from people over oiling their filters. As you know the Volant to be has a more OE look to it. I was able to sell my K&N and help pay for the new one...,.
  19. As I mentioned I'm not a fan of aftermarket lights as they usually look like they are straight off a rice rocket.... these are not bad. If I get them I'll post pictures....
  20. Two words..... parachute pants! Lol. Man the 90s were a weird time..... hahahaha
  21. Kind of a neat truck but oh so 90's... purple paint and that splatter look that was so popular in the 90's.... eh! https://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/6022805753.html
