Well I haven't been on in some time. I just sold my 2004 with 158000 miles. Her replacement is a 2017 Silverado LTZ Z71 double cab black on black.I won't be racing this one.
How much did you end up selling her for?

60k?? These things base price from one of the pictures say that it was worth 30k, this guy wants 60k for a failed- GM experiment?! Lol i would wish him luck with the sale but i think he'll need more than luck..

I used to have those on my obs with regular hids.... no bueno.. not enough light output from those projectors... I just switched them over for some regular clear headlights with black housings and my hids were brighter than the projectors
I really like the halo headlight design though, what I was thinking was buying some stock new housings because the ones that I have on right now the lens is stained with brake fluid. I was thinking of perhaps buying an led kit and plugging it in into the stock housing, I live in California idk how legal that is

haha i hate when people do this! totally ruins a truck and makes it look tacky... Even worse when the person has no idea what they own lol at least get the year right for crying out loud

Hey guys i'm thinking of replacing my stock headlights set on my 1997 Chevy c1500 pickup, on the right side a mechanic I took it to accidently splashed some brake fluid on the lens of either way I want to upgrade to some led headlights I don't know much about headlights but from what I've heard HID's are too bright and hotspots are common here's a link I've included http://www.ebay.com/itm/301590572808?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITI like this design the "Halo Led projector lights", what is a good site to order from or could I order this housing and just buy a separate LED light kit and fit them inside the ebay ones?

was saying not sure how much i would get on a sale where truck is old and high miles
look it up in the blue book, these days a lot of people don't exactly have the cash in hand to say give you like 14k and credit unions and banks are hesitant to give a buyer a loan because of the age and mileage of the truck try craigslist it should get some attention or just put a for sale sign on it with your number and info and somebody is bound to be interested in it, best of luck

Steve the GM Gauge Guy works on gauges and will swap LEDs but he normally works on 99-06 clusters which have the lights soldered in.
He is asking about a 97 and those are just replaceable bulbs and they are super easy to pull out and replace, and you dont even have to take part the cluster.
As far as LEDs go. Superbrightleds.com is a pretty good place. They have lots of options
Oh I didn't know that, Thanks Dan! Based on the above picture of the faceplate do you think aqua/ice blue would look better or just regular blue?

Flowmaster 40 Series are decent they are the second loudest muffler that Flowmaster produces, if you really want to be loud then get the Super 10 Flowmaster that is LOUD, as for magnaflow i wouldnt know if your opting to go wth that brand i've never used it or any other

I am looking to change the instrument cluster color on my 1997 Chevy C1500 Pickup to blue LED's to match my stereo faceplate. I think the bulb stock number is 194 so i got that down and i think there are 7 bulbs to replace, the thing is where is a good site to buy the LED's from? and I included here a picture of the look I'm trying to get so I think that's the ice blue color LED's or would the regular blue LED's look better? Heres a picture of the exact model stereo of the JVC so you can see the color

Quality Headlight Projectors?
in Off-Topic/General
Posted
Hey guys, I've posted about this before but I'm having trouble again. I bought these Halo Style projectors from 1aauto.com to replace the stock headlights on my 97 Chevy C1500 pickup, does anyone have any experience with this site? Do they sell quality parts? From my understanding these are only styled to be like halo projectors but I don' think that one can put an led kit in the back of these.. Also can somebody tell me how to wire the halo? where do the red and black wires go on the truck wiring? Would really appreciate some help on this..
