It is a JVC KD-X350BTS single din receiver it comes with all the works: Bluetooth, Aux Input, USB input, Sirius XM ready and Detachable face for added security . It cost me $100 brand new at Best buy, willing to let it go for $50 to whoever wants it, if interested send me a message, Thanks

  2.

If you dont wan tto spend alot of money off the bat, a good set of cross drilled and slotted rotors and some good pads will help. Then hydraboost and a big brake kit. But a whole brake kit isnt cheap. I have hydraboost and a Baer complete brake kit with larger rotors everything, and I can stop on a dime. But there is alot of money in that.

Any links to exact product recommendations?

Ha for some reason I thought you had a Intimadator..... got you confused with another member.....

No lol i wish  haha na i'm fine with my 04'

He has an 06 which has the larger front brakes. Some folks have done the Z06 upgrade. GM makes a brembo kit that you can put on the new trucks. I bet it could be adapted to the 06 and later trucks but I havent looked much into it......

I have an 04 lol so all disc brakes, just looking to do something to the brake setup to improve performance

  4. Hey guys, i was looking to upgrade the brake system in my SS as it has the original one still and it is not very good for braking or so I've noticed... what system is a great replacement but won't break the bank? (Wilwood). Or what may i modify in order to get better braking performance? Any input would be greatly appreciated oh and information about the brakes on these trucks as i know nothing about the ones on these trucks.. maybe links?

  5. Guy i bought my SS from had a whole sound system with amps, speakers, woofers, and a measly and outdated deck on there with no Bluetooth connectivity or aux cord connection so i went out and got a nice JVC deck with all the works. Cluster had the typical problems that these trucks have so i sent it to gmgaugeguy to get rebuilt, had no tints so i went and limo'd it all the way around :jester:. The truck didn't have an alarm so i went out and had a 2 way alarm installed, yeah pretty much it. It also came with JBA shorty headers, S & B Cold air intake, MSD wires, throttle body spacer, and LED headlights, and a magnaflow exhaust system, funny thing is i was planning to do all that exact stuff myself and it already came with it haha go figure :chevy:

  6. Seems that I get compliments on the daily as well, it's kind of a funny feeling when you drive next to a Lightning though, Ford's street sports truck lol I'm a Chevy man all the way but i wish that stock vs. stock, our trucks can beat a lightning  looks wise and convenience the SS obviously wins but competition wise sadly the Ford  might have helped if GM had dropped a SC in from factory

  7. Hey guys just wanting to gather some information out of curiosity but which would win in a straight race or launch faster? A bone stock AWD SS or a stock RWD SS and why? Which trucks or cars can the SS beat in a straight out quarter mile race? Wanted to see how fast my SS is as i don't know much about it's capabilities yet,

  8. Why not buy a new one. They used to be available from GM.

looked into it actually and a brand new one is $530.00, checked the damage out by taking the fascia off and the only thing that's bent and causing the misalignment between it and the bed is the big corner bracket is bent, cheaper to just get a new one which is $60 then get a body shop to just paint the fascia again to cover the sections where paint came off and like new again

  9. Sure, PM me your number and Ill get a bunch of pics for you.

$500 for the full frame, cover, step pads, license plate lights, wiring harness, the spare tire plastic tube. Its all one piece so its ready to just bolt on

Sorry just went to the dealer and it's $500 as well, wanted a cheaper option plus its arrival blue so i have to pay a couple of hundred to have it painted.. think I'm just gonna work with what i have it's cheaper that way, thanks anyways

  10. I have a stock complete OEM bumper and cover, step pads, and the mounting bracket with the license plate plug I dont need. It has to be painted since its Arrival blue but otherwise everything else is perfect.

could you send me some pics? and what your asking price is?

  11. It may be as simple as the bumper -cover- brackets are bent. They're little flimsy sheetmetal brackets at the corners. Body shop should be able to adjust as needed. If the bumper itself or the brackets have a very minor bend, body shop should be able to handle that easily, too.

Thanks Richard, that makes me feel more at ease than when i initially saw the damage.. wise advice as always man!

  12. I would just repair the cover you have...... and never park on the street again. Lol

I hope you got the guys insurance and make them pay. Find an expensive body shop that does custom

Cars or corvettes...... dont goto a production body shop....

The problem with that is it was a hit & run, coincidently when i came back out after i left the billiards hall, the space behind me was empty, so i basically have to incur the charges for someone else that wasn't cautious and responsible enough to leave a note.. my insurance deductible is $500  I'm gonna report it to my insurance tomorrow for sure

Really hard to tell from those pics but the damage looks very minor. Very likely no need to replace anything, just have body shop repaint the bumper cover. Any minor imperfections can be filled perfectly.

A new bumper cover is around $400 if you can find one in stock, then prep/paint...and labor for swapping over your step pad, the small lower one is stuck to the cover with strong adhesive tape. Top one just clips in, but you have to be careful to not break the tabs removing it.

    Richard

Yeah you're right i really would like to keep the original bumper cover, looking it over it's not that bad, the thing that's killing me is that in the second picture is that it's bent inward, it seems that one of the brackets on the inside is bent, the rest of the metal did not bend, i would think this is what throwing the alignment off the bumper with the body..
