  1. Hey guys, just wanted some quick insight as I am looking into getting some exhaust work done.. I am currently running a single dual in/dual out flowmaster 40 series muffler and I think I am running 2.5" pipes but not sure. Was looking through videos and the ones that stood out to me were the Borla Xr-1's and The Spintech Super Pro Street 9000's, looking for that really deep exhaust tone and not that crackly, raspy uneven one that you would get out of cherry bombs or straightpipes.. Basically decided on the Spintech since not many guys are using them.. now I need a plan, should I get single in/dual out or dual in dual out muffler? What size inlets, and what size outlets? Mainly was looking to get exhaust work done because the piece of pipe right before the tips is all corroded and has holes on it so using that as an excuse lol

  2. A really nice drivers seat I could get $200 any day, $300 to the right guy. Passenger seats are much cheaper, maybe $100-$150, as they never see the wear the drivers side does. Throw in SS headreasts for $200-ish. So $500 for the pair? maybe start a little lower and go from there?

sounds about right, that's what I've seen them go for

  3. I'd have to agree with the people above, really depends on what you're using your truck for, if you're doing heavy duty stuff or off-roading I say go with the Bilsteins, they're the best you can get although they do offer a really stiff ride. Me personally I just put a set of KYB shocks on mine and it's a bit of an improvement over what I had, then again I just use my truck as a daily driver in the city..

  4. just to be clear so there is no misinformation here. dual exhaust is perfectly legal in california and will still pass smog. post-cat you can do anything you want to the exhaust. pre-cat the pipes have to be original diameter and cats have to be in original location, tho smog shops aren't going to get under there and measure pipe diameter. so you can run two pipes for dual exhaust off of your cats all the way back if you wanted. i ran mine in stock location dual 3" into two flowmasters, tho mine has long tube headers and no cats, but i can easily bolt on the manifolds and cats to this exhaust. im not sure why you are having trouble getting exhaust done the way you want it. exhaust shops will do anything you want them to except for remove a cat, but if you go in without a cat, they will run the pipes just how you want them.

Thanks for the info! I will keep looking around to see if anybody is willing to do the job, just so far I've heard that running true dual exhaust on a car that came with factory single exhaust is illegal, I've also heard what you just mentioned that anything after the cat is legal and won't interfere with passing the smog every 2 years here in California

  5. I traded a 93 with 250K on it, (And boot, of coarse), for the SSS. Mine had the TBI 350 also. Never left me stranded.

Was it 94 that they changed the dash from square to the rounded corners? I never did care much for the dash in the 93, although to be honest it didn't bother me much till I saw the later model round edged dash.

For me that rounded dash was when GM really started bringing the Silverado to a new level of refinement but I guess you could say that about a lot of their advancements both mechanical and convenience.

Your 94 is as good a looker as I've seen in that era truck. You did good with it. thumbsup.gif

Great looking truck Richard, here's my 97 and the cluster IMO these were the true innovators in the GM trucks, mines is a Showtrucks USA conversion truck, that was some conversion company out of Texas in the 90's, they are now defunct

  6. Wats up guys? I was posting because I wanted some feedback on what is the best exhaust system setup just to gather opinions.. I do live in California, so the control of emissions is the worst out here  , probably the strictest out of anywhere here in the states I think. To start off true dual exhaust is illegal out here and it's rare to find a guy that will do it at a shop, that plus cars out here have to get smogged every two years and it will not pass with true dual. The setup that I have right now on my truck is dual with a flowmaster 40 series muffler, I think that's the 2nd loudest muffler they carry, the loudest would be the super 10, I don't exactly want to be that obnoxious ****with the extremely loud truck driving down the street, I just want to change the sound a bit on what I currently have, any thoughts?

  7. Hey guys, i am posting to see if anybody has had experience with LED's in their headlights before? I was looking for a good LED kit for my 97 Chevy Silverado 1500, any good kits or brands? theres plenty on ebay but i just don't know which to choose i need 9005 and 9006 both high beams and low beams, any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

  8. yeah thanks for the input guys, I wasn't really looking for killer light output i think the light output that these trucks put out with the stock halogen bulbs is fine. What i was worried about was that these projectors that I bought might even possibly provide me with worse light output.. ya know? I was mainly looking to upgrade the look to look more sleek, but not at the cost of having worse light output. I think i might just return these to 1A Auto and just buy a new set of stock halogen projectors.

  9. Quality and aftermarket are words that don't belong in the same sentence.....

don't know much about lighting, how about putting an led kit in these? There's also these projectors from LMC truck that I like, either the top one or the bottom one would be good, really leaning towards the LED set. Damn for the price they better be quality.. The new OEM set of headlights costs 265.00 on 1A Auto  , but you know what they say, just because something is more expensive doesn't make the quality better, any more input guys? I think I might just return these and buy the LED Halo Set from LMC Truck

here they are either the top one or the bottom one would work

  10. When I used to have a c1500 and had those headlights I wired the red wire to the hot wire on one of my parking lights hot wires... it worked for me since my headlights were also my running lights the halos would only turn on when I turned on my light at night time...the black wire is just a ground

Thanks! As far as quality goes, how do these compare to the stock lights in your opinion, better? Worse?
