  3. sorry to hear this. hope it's found soon.. the bad thing is IT'S NOT GOING TO GET BETTER with the unemployment the way it is, then throw in the Ba Humbug time coming up nothing is going to be safe, not your truck/cars, home or yourself walking on the streets. i only drive the SS 1-2 times a week maybe just to keep things up. but as i type this my starter relay is sitting on the table, and is pulled when ever i leave the truck..i know it won't help if it gets jacked by a tow truck but i feel a lot better.. good luck all

  6. use anti seize on your header bolts. makes life easier if you need to remove them good luck
  7. if your MAF went bad you should have codes from that, any codes stored? bad vibration if it is coming from the motor, check your electric system for water, if it was raining hard, plug/coil wires. if all's good do a compression test on the motor, you may have lost a cylinder.. good luck
  8. another thing to look into, is a possible spun cam Bering. happened to a couple people here over the years. i would think if a rod or main Bering was bad it would be knocking. good luck

  10. it's to bad i still don't have my old stuff any more 327 intakes, 2BL, 4BL, duel quad, valve covers, ram horn exhausts, dampers, 2 blocks, 1 was a 61 the other was a 67, and a set of fuelie heads all gone now, so sorry i can't help with some spare parts.. i read somewhere that a company was coming out with NEW camel hump heads. if i remember right there aluminum, I'll see if i can find the info..BTW..my 65 Impalas that i had with the PG rears were i believe 3.36 gears. but good luck with the 64...

  12. with that much current going Thur that charger to start a fire, i would ask WHY the fuse did not blow.. in a way I'm glad my DD ports will not work with the motor off.. ..still sucks, but it can be replaced, and no one was hurt..
  13. check all your grounds. if one is a little louse/corroded you may be getting a intermittent ground issue.. good luck

  16. i have a CA CDL.B and i was looking into getting my class A. most of the schools run about $2500+. besides the class room time which you really need because it will cover all the laws you need to know, log books crossing scales fines, penalties, JAIL TIME. the other part is your stick time. so if you get your permit, and know someone with a truck who would be willing to teach you, then i would not take the class. BTW..after you get your permit, YOU NEED TO HAVE A CLASS A DRIVER WITH YOU when ever you are driving a Class A truck... now here's the kicker.. if you have to drive just the TRACTOR, and the gross vehicle weight is under 26,000 lbs. than you can drive it with just a class C license good luck
