UPDATE... fixed the clip on the right side broke and the rod fell out. if anyone else has to do this.. beware, when unbolting the latch from the inside, DO NOT take the 3 bolts out completely. there is 3 large washer/spacers between the latch and the gate, and if your not lucky they will fall into the bottom of the tail gate.. so loosen them enough to get the bezel off, and the rest is a snap i replaced both clips $4.99 each just so i don't have to replace the other one next week when that one brakes shot it up with some white grease and reinstalled...after parts chasing, and 2 cups of coffee, takes less than 10 min.. well my tail gate latch is not working. went to open it up and nothing..has anyone ever have this issue? and what was needed to repair. i have not removed the cover on the inside yet, it's dark, and the winds blowing about 30+ mph, and I'm anyone have a exposed pics of the latch assemble? and how to remove..any help would appreciated. thanks

try doing a wet compression test to check your rings. if you are getting some back fire, it's possible you burnt some valves. i know that not what you would like to hear. good lick edit.. have you run a vacume gauge hooked to intake at idle?

i would think that should be covered under your emissions warranty

had mine replaced 2x so far so good on this one about 22k since replacement

i was down at 29 Palms 2x this year for about 12 weeks total as a contractor employee. we didn't have to much trouble with the MPs, BUT THEY ARE HARD on speeding on base.. 3-5 mph over posted will get you a any thing over will get you a FEDERAL speeding ticket (i know ) $85.00 and 1 point ALSO.. you might have to produce a current CA smog certificate to register the SS on base check before you bring it out saw something at the welcome center at the gate. good luck, and welcome to the west side...

can't help with the clunk, but i had to replace my battery in June, and when i hooked it back up my vents were not working at all. after trying to switch the vent controls, calling it every name i could think of, i disconnected the neg. on the battery for 30 sec. and after that all worked fine.. try that, the most you can wast is 30 sec.. good luck

maybe your thinking of another co.. the ones i have, fit and finish are top notch.

add to your list.. 1 anti seize compound for your plug threads. makes life easier when you change them again 2 dielectric grease put a small bead in the plug and coil boots, and rub the boot between your fingers, and it will coat the inside of the boots pretty evenly..as above makes pulling the boots off sooo much nicer. good luck
