  1. The Radix intake manifold has a 1/4" NPT fitting in the very back near the firewall. Remove the plug and connect there for a boost gauge.
  2. I'm considering one also, and the best price I have found so far on a Goodmark is at Jegs for $450. But then they charge an extra $80 for truck freight, which kind of ruins it.
  3. I measured the lip today, and it's actually 3.75". Sale pending...
  4. Yup, outer barrell (lip) and centers are polished. The inner barrell is not.
  5. Here are a few pics I took of the wheels on the truck (for the first time). Now having seen them installed, I am now having second thoughts about selling them , but have a look none the less.
  6. The centers are held in with the small bolts/nuts that go around the perimiter, as they are a true 3 peice wheel. The lip is 4.5", but I don't know what the offset is. I will take pics today, probably this afternoon if/when the rain clears out. EDIT: Lip is actually 3.75"
  7. I think the emperor in Revenge of the Sith said it best, while blasting Sam Jackson with blue lightning. "POWER!!!!!"
  8. Selling just the wheels won't really affect the price much, so I just assume not risk any damage dismoutning the tires until someone is ready to put new ones on. The majority of the cost is the rims, plus I don't have a need for the tires if I take them off. Feel free to make an offer though, and just subtract something for the tires and I'll leave them on...
  9. I am selling a gorgeous set of HRE Model 645R's. 22x10, forged, 3 piece, with fully polished centers. Includes center caps, lugs, and locks. Weight is only 70 lbs per whee//tire. Fits 99+ GM 6 lug (SSS, Yukon, Sub, etc) With Pirelli 305/40-22 Scorpion Zero Asemetrico tires; 2 have decent tread and 2 should be replaced. These are about 2 years old and in excellent condition, NO curb rash or damage. Retail on each wheel in full polish is over $2k, normal sale price is around $1400-1800 each depending where you look. Go to www.hrewheels.com or check with Tbyrne to confirm, these are still a current model and pricey. Asking $3400 obo for the complete set of 4. I can take pics, but have not yet. Located in Los Angeles, CA, 10 miles north of LAX airport. I would prefer cash and carry, but I can ship via Fedex ground at buyer's expense for about $60 each I'm guessing. Thanks for looking.
  10. As in a handheld power programmer like Hypertech or the others? No, it's one or the other (custom tune or handheld tune). The tuner s/b able to adjust for tire size with the software though, but you won't be able to go back and forth with it yourself.
  11. Mine might be available in the next couple weeks, as I am hopefully getting 22's this weekend. Wheels are silver and are overall in great shape, but one has a small curbed area. I have an extra wheel that I bought and never mounted because it didn't look bad, so 5 wheels and 4 tires. 3 tires have 25k miles on them, one has 5k miles. Caps/lugs etc uncluded. $1k for all, located in Los Angeles, CA. James
  12. This sounds like a job for Andy at A&A Corvette in Oxnard, CA. Big motor and blower horsepower insanity on late model GM is his specialty! www.aandacorvette.com
  13. You can get the 3:42 gear ratio as factory option G90 (or something like that). Just keep looking until you find one, it's well worth having and much easier if it's already there. However if an AT Vette has the 2:42 ratio, you can install the 3:73's from a 6 speed car which is awesome. Or just get a Z06 like TurboB said, either way a lot of bang for the buck to be had with a C5.
  14. It is good to be a little nervous, it means you're alive and normal. Even if something goes wrong, everyone in attendance is human like you (I presume) and have made plents of mistakes of their own. Either they won't notice, or they will snikker inside WITH you and not AT you (if they're your friends). It will be one of the happiest days of your life, and everything will go fine. On my wedding day, I had such a big smile all day that my face hurt - and then it only get better as the night went on! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!
  15. I seem to recall reading they are the same pads used on a 300C, but I would think Baer would make them with their own pad material/compound. How many miles did you get out the orig Baer pads? Maybe you can buy Baer pads from TByrne or directly from Baer? If you call Baer tech support in AZ, ask for "Dutch". Nice guy and very helpfull.
  16. A few things come to mind to consider; Has the truck always run hot, or just since installing e-fans, or just with this harness? Possibly an big air bubble in the system not triggering the thermo to open? Fans not blowing in the right direction/ not pulling air through radiator? Clogged radiator? Bad thermo (unlikely, but possible)? Bad temp sending unit giving you false readings on HPT? Failing water pump? Low coolant?
  17. Dave were you near LAX airport earlier this week? I saw an SSS that looked just like yours with a blue shell.
  18. Having a dealer fix anything drivetrain related once they see that blower is a very grey area. Technically, according to the Magnusson-Moss warrantee act, they cannot deny warrantee coverage/repair due to the blower (you can read all about it on the Magnusson website). However, the reality is highly dependant on the dealership that you go to. I have heard a few different ways it can play out: 1 - Customer pays full repair price, tough shit. 2 - Dealer will only charge the customer any additional labor time incured to R&R the added equipment. 3 - Dealership service dept is hungry and will take whatever warrantee work comes through the door. Unless a GM rep is sent out to ok a major repair like a new engine or transmission, no problem. I did not know that Magnusson does not warrantee the powertrain on an AWD vehicle, that sucks.
  19. what size heat sock did you use? Got a link to them? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A friend had them left over from something, they were just big enough to get the wires into them. Nothing fancy, but it works.
  20. I modified a 2 plug wire retainer bracket that I had laying around from something else and attached it to a stud on the valve cover and angled it down, which kept the wires from touching the pipes and worked for a while. The wires eventually got too hot though and started missing at high RPM. Then I added a pair of those white heat socks, in addition with the retainer, and haven't had a problem since (about 6 months I think). I can take a couple pics later if you want. This is the one thing I don't like about the Dynas. Someone told me they changed the design of that upward #3 pipe on the driver's side because of this problem, so it looks like the passenger side, but I guess not.
  21. Where did you go for logging and a tune SoCal? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jeff Price at The Dyno Store in Chatsworth, CA did my logging/tuning, I was refered to him by Blownchevy at Magnusson. Both are great guys
  22. The Belltech rear leafs are easily adjustable, in 1/2" incramnets, to go from about a 3" drop to a 4.5" drop. All you do is add or remove the 3 spacers that come in the leaf packs. Going the whole 4.5" will make the rear lower than the front if also using Belltech spindles in front, but having the rear at the 3.5" adjustment will make the truck level (at least it did mine). No vibration so no degree shims are required, no shackles/hangers headaches, and no messing with the front keys - unless of course, you want it lower. Since those rear leafs can eliminate the rear tire gap completely at max drop, you could give the front keys a couple turns just to even it out if you go that low - but AWD trucks might have the rear drive shaft hitting the cross member. To go super low and tuck tire, you could use the Belltech leafs in conjunction with shackles and hangers, for about a 6-7" drop I would imagine. I don't think an AWD would like that though
