  1. When mine was lowered 2" in the front and 3" in the back, with the stock wheels/tires (which is the size you listed), it did not rub at all. Now it's lowered more like 3/4 and it rubs in the front only, but with different wheels.
  2. I would check the fuel filter, like the others said. You might have picked up some sediment from the bottom of the tank when you ran it too low. How many miles on the truck, and has the filter ever been changed? Those are only good for about 15-20k miles IIRC. Back in the old days if you ran it too low, the pickup tube "sock" in the tank could get clogged. Not sure if that would happen on such new trucks yet, especially since you have the Radix which needed the addition of another pump or changing the stock pump depending on the year truck.
  3. Now THAT is F'in cool Clutch pedal and everything in, ready to drive? Almost as cool would be a auto floor shifter, ala the '96 Impala SS.
  4. Fuelslut (what a name), how would you compare the power with the GT2-3/Radix to the stock cam/Radix? Is the power in the upper RPMs, or is it an even curve increase? Did you also do the 90mm?
  5. I thought both sides went all the way back to hold them all up, why is the driver's side different?
  6. LSA = Lobe Seperation Angle, since someone asked. At least that's what I read on LS1howto.com...
  7. Looking to do a cam swap in the next month or so, and wondering if anyone here has them to borrow/rent. Please let me know... If you don't know what they are, look here: http://www.ls1howto.com/howto/fbody/camswa...talljprtool.jpg Thanks!
  8. $100 each wheel for shiping, or for the chrome? Why send something to CA for chrome? Everything here is normally more expensive I thought...
  9. Based on 80 lbs each, shipping is about $50 per wheel/tire to that zip via Fedex Ground.
  10. p.s i love how the goodmark goes over the wiper area. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, thanks for the pic of the wiper area NorCalSS. I had not seen that view yet, and it really adds a nice finishing touch
  11. Paypal charges the seller 3% to receive money, so add about $10-12. I spoke with Glen today to get an idea of how all this will play out, and he's a nice guy for an Avalanche owner Send all your personal info with payment, especially your phone #, and present your ID when arriving at the warehouse. The Goodmark shipment going to the Norwalk, CA location was being loaded onto railcars today, so the guys picking them up at the CA location s/b able to pick them up the week after Thanksgiving. Apparantly it is a HUGE shipment of everything Goodmark makes to stock their new location though, not just our hoods, so that estimate on a date could change +/-.
  12. I would blot the excess with paper towels, and use Spot Shot to get whatever is left. I have removed grease, cat puke (not in the truck), dirt, etc with it, so it would probably work on oil too.
  13. I think the Goodmark cowl has the cleanest looks and the lines flow with the truck perfectly.
  14. Pending sale fell through, so still available if anyone wants them.
  15. Very upsetting to see something like this happen to such a nice truck, sorry your stuff got damaged/stolen. A guy at work was just asking me last night what kind of alarm my truck has, and I'm like "Nothing, because nobody pays attention to alarms now days anyways". I keep mine in the guarged garage at work and behind the locked gate at home, but I don't have much of any stereo stuff other than an amp/box under the seat Will insurance cover it? Does anybody have additional coverage or riders on their policies for high dollar mods like electronics, wheels, superchargers (yeah right, tell your ins co that!) etc in case your truck get stolen?
  16. I know what you've got; Got to lower that truck I've removed emblems with a heat gun, but be careful not to cook the paint. I use Desolve-It to take off adheisive
  17. For another $50.00 you could have gotten into the GB and got a new one.
  18. I had a '00 Vette when I bought my SSS. Really fun cars, especially for the money, with huge potential for the aftermarket go fast stuff. I sold mine not long after getting the SSS however, because: it wasn't getting driven much anymore, the prices were dropping fast because of the new body style, and I didn't use it enough to justify the money to register/insure it. I missed it bad for about a week, and actually shed a tear when it came time to sign it over to the new owner. Even though it just sat, it was nice knowing I had it in my toybox. Since modding the SSS though, I don't miss it anymore. The truck is just as fun now, if not moreso (see my sig), it's way more comfortable and conveinient, and I see far fewer SSS's on the road than C5's. Just my experience though, YMMV
  19. I paid 175 for mine to get painted...from the Gm Dealership... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sounds like I need to shop around more.
  20. Looks nice, that cowl is pretty tall. Is it 2" like the Goodmark (Chase), or more? Also, a great price on getting it painted. What have guys that already have hoods paid to get them painted? Since this group buy has come up I've asked a couple places and heard prices from $500 to $675 just for paint Is it just because of strict CA EPA laws, or am I getting screwed?
  21. Definetly looks better. I'm always amazed now when I see a stock height SSS how tall they look from the factory. The lowering thing is easy to get carried away with though, as seen by the amount of posts about it on this board. After first installing 2" spindles and 3" drop leafs on mine about 6 months ago, I have since adjusted it a few times down to now what must be more like a 3/4 drop. My fender opening heights (measured inline with the center of the wheels from the ground to the finder lip) now measure 33" in the rear and 32.5" in the front. What do you guys have?
  22. Yes, I noticed that too right after the election What I don't get is WTF difference does it make what gas costs vs what we vote for?
  23. I like blue, which is why I got one after searching for a while. It is almost identical to Corvette Electron Blue, which is also a nice color. Fairly easy to keep looking clean, very glossy/flashy. and I hardly ever pass another one on the road. The rarest color by far - I hardly even see non SS Arrival blue Silverados.
