  1. mine leaked like a SOB. I finally just welded the the bastard and left it alone.
  2. Ok changed out my bassanis to the round magnaflow canisters. Their I think the 14 inch long ones with 2.5 in and out. I like the rumble at idle but when I start getting on it it starts popping. Since I have my tips going out in front of the tire it modifies the sound so the popping is louder. I have an x pipe right before the mufflers and LT headers with no cats. So the sound quality needs some work but the actual noise level is perfect. it's a little louder then my bassanis but the bassanis didn't pop at all. What to do?
  3. i'll try we will see shortly
  4. well since nobody gave me any suggestions I went ahead and bought the magnaflow round 14 inch mufflers. I guess will see how loud they are and how they sound.
  5. ok I've had probably 4 sets of exhaust on my current truck and still havent found just the right one. here is everything let me know what everyone thinks. I have true duals with cats deleted, LT's x pipe 2.5 inch pipe. to get everything to hook up to my pipes coming out infront of the rear wheels I need a offset to connect to the x pipe and also would work having the opposite to get under the cross member. I like things loud but with a throaty sound. I like the sound of corsa but can't make that work + iam not spending that kind of money. I have had flowmsater(to hollow), Bassani(to quiet) and don't like the sound of the bassani once I brought the pipes out the side. any other suggestions let me know. 6. I would like to know the same since I have to find some new mufflers to put on my truck.
  7. send me pics on the bowtie? did you paint it or did you have a shop paint it?
  8. you guys running with cats or without? also any long tubes? I am running bassanis and they sound good but I am a exhaust freak and can't stay with one to long.
  9. Ok trying to decide on a cam for the next step. I have been looking at the Futral Cams these ones FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 226"/226" .575"/.575" 112LSA - aggressive profile with a 2000-6600 RPM range, fair idle $399.00 FM-F4-114 FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 226"/226" .575"/.575" 114LSA - aggressive profile with a 2000-6600 RPM range, fair idle $399.00 FM-F5-112 FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 224"/228" .588"/.576" 112LSA - aggressive profile with a 1800-6600 RPM range, fair idle $399.00 FM-F5-114 FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 224"/228" .588"/.576" 114LSA - aggressive profile with a 1800-6600 RPM range, fair idle FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 228"/228" .576"/.576" 112LSA - aggressive profile with a 2200-6600 RPM range, fair idle $399.00 FM1-F10-114 FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 228"/228" .576"/.576" 114LSA - aggressive profile with a 2200-6600 RPM range, fair idle $399.00 FM1-F11-112 FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 228"/230" .576"/.595" 112LSA - aggressive profile with a 2200-6600 RPM range, fair idle $399.00 FM1-F11-114 FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 228"/230" .576"/.595" 114LSA - aggressive profile with a 2200-6600 RPM range, fair idle don't know which one will work best. any other ideas on cams or sizes would help. will have a 3200 fuddle stall to go with this.
  10. ok got the Nelson tune, finished the exhaust. everything is running bad ass. The bassani's really need some tips to give them some sound so I dumped some 3.5 chrome tips aboout 12 inches behind the muffler. it sounds so awesome now I can't describe it. clean with a very deep sound that is jsut unbelievable. Finally got a scanner and will take some pics and post them hopefully in the next week or so. I highly recommend going with this setup if you want something to sound clean but alot better then a flowmaster and I personally like it way better then the maganflow also. Just my opinion though.
  11. Not mine just thought their would be a few guys interested in it on here. Vigilante Stall
  12. do you have smog testing? if so get the dynatechs. if not get the pacesetter.

why are you selling? I could be interested I am PMing you.
  14. need to put a price up partner.
  15. would side pipes coming out infront of the rear tire make the exhaust louder outside and or maybe quieter on the inside? thinking of doing something similar to the lightning kind of with probably 3 inch chrome tips that our slash cut and maybe rolled.
  16. yeah that's what I thought, not sure how much all this is going to cost but after I get the new computer from allen then it's time to save up for the stall and cam and parts. would it be worth it to have pcmforless or someone along those lines that would save me 150-200 on a tune so I could start buy the stall sooner?
  17. yes I got the coated ones, I plan on a fuddle stall 3200 2.0 and a futral 226/228 114 lsa cam in the future
  18. it pulls really well, I have stayed out of it pretty much because I am waiting on a new tune. will have the money next week and will order it. I noticed alot of lowend tq when I was running straight headers, also up top so far pulls pretty hard. I think they were a great investment. IMO
  19. don't have a digital camera or even know how to do that.
  20. I agree abou the Flowmaster, that and they sound really hollow to me. very hard to describe. But I am going back to shorten the pipe and then if that doesn't fit my fancy I will take some 12-18 inch tips and dump them under neath the truck. the sound is what I want jsut not loud enough for me. Also I cut the right below the flang hooking into the manifolds and yes the front 02 sensors screw into the Pacesetters. The back or rear 02's I didn't need so I jsut left them out and welded new pipes in from the collecter of the Headers all the way back to the X pipe and mufflers. Side note. it was a good thing I went to long tube headers because I found out one of my manifolds were cracked in half on the flang. so go figure. I will know more about he sound in the next couple of days.
  21. Ok everyone the new exhaust is in with about 600 miles on it now. Most of them yesterday driving back to Arkansas from Oklahoma. Well I installed the Pacesetter LT's Saturday with no cats and then had the muffler shop weld in my 2.5 magnaflow x pipe into two bassani street competition mufflers(2.5 in and out) then dumped about 30 inches later. I personally love the smooth tone of the bassani with a nice roar when you get on it. I wish it was a little louder but I am going to cut the 30 inches of extra pipe after the muffler down to about 18 or 14 inches and see if that helps. These are very nice sounding mufflers and the pacesetters fit great and were very easy to install once I got the other exhaust system cut and chopped up to get out of my way. I prefer these muffelr way over the magnaflow I had(dual 2.5 in/single 3 out dumped) also prefer this over the dual 2 chambers flowmasters(2 40 series with 6 inch dumped tips off the mufflers) I did run around with open LT for a couple of days and I couldn't believe how mellow the mufflers and x pipe made this exhaust. I say anyone with LT trying to calm the noise down should try these. However if your running stock with cats still in place not sure how loud this muffler would be(probably barely over stock). Now just need a new tune and we will see how everything works.
  22. front bumper can wait a little, but I would love to get rid of this grill and replace the back bumper. where can I get the ss grill shell at? I know I can find one in black somewhere. also who makes the best rollpans, I think I would want a weld in one, I know they would have to be painted but that might be worth it. also will the tahoe handles that are painted swap over with no hassles?
  23. what would I need to make my 04 chevy all black on the outside? what would work best or how to get a new grill shell? front bumper, rear bumper? so if their are any parts that might swap from othr trucks that come with them. not trying to look like an ss just trying to get everything black as possible. any suggestions where I could find those parts would be great, don't want to have to have the parts painted. thanks
  24. I have this same dilema when I replace my motor, I have seen that and they can actually be had way cheaper. they can use the iron block 6.0 bore and stroke them that far I beleive, or it for sure can be done with wet sleeves now. everything is coming down in price finally for our LS based trucks.
