  1. I'll check it out. Thanks!
  2. Anyone know of someone that can help me out with this?

    Need Help!

Code P0171 Lean condition bank 1 or smoehting. This happened after I installed the long tubes. I added fuel in the VE table but I'm not sure I did it right as the code still appears. I run leaded fuel. Do I need to change the o2 sensor or just keep adding fuel?
  4. Will this fit/work with a N/A SS? Thanks...I am VERY interested.
  5. I've done the hard work for you!!! Make me an offer! You will need to delete your rear o2's in the PCM upon install. Get flow with out the smog issues! Will pass visual inspection!!!

    Front O2's

Ok, thanks. So if I decide to get 2 WB's, they'll replace the fronts? My rears are unplugged and out of the car. Do think I should have bungs added into the pipes of my new exhaust if the WB replaces the fronts? Thanks...
  7. It's not that they can tell, it's that they always reflash it to give it any updates that have come across their desk. It's just like your PC...When an upgrade comes along, you download it and make everything better. The dealer will do the same with PCM and being that he/she can't tell that it's tuned, the reflash will erase your tune. Not a big deal if you own software as you can just rewrite it when you get home.

    Front O2's

So a wide band or an air/fuel ratio monitor has no business in those holes, correct?

    Front O2's

What exactly do they monitor? If I have a race only truck and never plan on smog tests, can I disable these and plug the holes or are the necessary for monitoring engine perfomance? Thanks...
  10. Nope. In fact, the new exhaust will eliminate the port for one unless I can put it into the front o2 holes.
  11. Thanks. That's what I thought was happening. I'll rewrite my tune after the ehaust is done and maybe try to tweak it a little too. I'm not sure what to tweak for optimal performance with the LT's but I'm just gonna wing it.
  12. TTT...May be willing to trade for something Scan Gauge?
  13. I'm not sure. It depends when it is but maybe. I can't wait to see yours run. Question...It is still open header and I had to move it in the driveway a bit. It ran fine but after in park it seemed like it wanted to die. What gives? Is it a lack of back pressure? Is it the tune? Or did I F&%$ up? Thanks...The mufflers are going on Saturday as well as a little tinkering with the tune.
  14. I was 27. Just graduated in January. I will be 29 when I graduate with my Master of Education.
  15. Under-hood temps increased as to be expected with aftermarket headers but no wire burning issues and no retune is required. These are basically a fancy replacement for stock manifolds and they flow much better than stock but not as good as long tubes. Yes! Finally stepped up to the big time! I think the install was scaring me away all these years but it turned out to be rather easy.
  16. Yes they will! I bought them for the purpose of staying smog legal.
  17. That's what I've been hearing but I'm hoping to get away with it since I don't really know what to tune!
  18. Edelbrock Shorty's...EDL-6502...Linky...Imagine those but used and dull with no gaskets...$200 shipped. I'll throw in a FREE, brand new SLP 2003 160* T-stat just for you! Other than the dull finish, these headers are in great condition and are 50 state smog legal.
  19. Overall a pretty easy install with two people. The hardest part was cutting my current exhaust up with the saws-all to get it out. The truck sounds bitchin' open header but I don't think it will run very well like that and I have to have mufflers in my racing classes. One strange thing...My plugs looked great but I had a lot of rust in my exhaust pipes. Not the shorty headers, but the rest of the pipes. What gives? Is it the leaded fuel? Am I close to catostrophic engine failure? Your input is most appreciated.
  20. Yes, the speedo's should be covered. He told me that it had something to do with the Delphi electronics causing the gauges not to work. Sorry, I was only half paying attention because I was trying to figure out the tail wind before I ran my round and plus, I don't care if my gauges work or not.
  21. Unfortunately, that's the only choice I really have unless I try to tune it on the street which is especially dangerous since I'm not registerd! I may decide to go to Vegas on the 29th in which case I'll try it there.
  22. I heard from a reliable source (GM Service Manager at a local dealership) that they are going to begin recalling ALL Silverado's between 2003 and 2006 (I think...not sure on the 2006 part) for faulty gauge clusters. He didn't say what the problem was so start checking a mail box near you and make sure they don't re-flash your PCM when you go!
