  1. If you watch his videos they are all around the west end of the valley. His shop is right near the Winnetka movie theatres. He makes some crazy power.
  2. pics? Is the magnaflow x-pipe stainless? What size is he tubing?
  3. HAHA. That does look weird. I meant I have no problem doing that for you, but I bet Ray will ship them to Alaska. He is a pretty reasonable guy and always willing to help. When I ordered my rotors from him he called me back the same day just to let me know they were in stock and shipping out the next business day. Can't remember last time someone did that.
  4. Just curious, anyone know the benefits or draw backs of the front drive vs the jack-shaft rear drive?
  5. I picked up a set of the end links and sway bar bushings yesterday, only for the bushings I got part # 95165 instead of 95172. Form what I can tell the difference is in the amount of polyurethane around the sway bar. The 95165 has approximately .125" of material around the bar and the 95172 has approximately .5". Since more material means more deflection and they actually had the 95165 part in stock I tried those. So far these end-links and bushings have made a huge difference in handling. I'm pretty aggressive in the turns and my truck handles significantly better. I'm seriously considering a rear sway bar as my next purchase now that the front end handles so well. I was concerned about one thing. I drive over some expansion joints on the 118 freeway almost everyday. It shakes my truck so bad it feels like something is going to break one of these days. In fact its bad enough that I have tried every lane at different speeds to see if any lane or speed makes it any better. Well I hit them at 85 thinking this is going to be bad and I couldn't believe the difference. It was like I was driving a different truck. Good call on whomever suggested the bottle jack under the end-link bolt. It worked like a charm. It compresses the lowest bushing just enough to get the nut on.
  6. You guys have some nice parts. I know I've been on your site many times day dreaming about build my Camaro.
  7. The way the full setup goes, is a 15" rotor up front with 6 piston calipers. The rears are 14" rotors with 4 piston calipers. I have no problem with that, but I bet Ray will. He is a pretty reasonable guy and always willing to help.
  8. IIRC the reasoning behind negative off first, on second is for safety. If you took the positive cable off first, that means the negative is still grounded to the vehicle. If the tool you are using touches any bare metal on around the battery while touching the positive terminal, it will cause arcing aka lots of bright sparks. Now if you remove the negative cable first then the only place it can arc is on the positive terminal. The same goes in reverse for hooking the cables up. It simply reduces the chances of arcing.
  9. So great news guys. I found a source for all four calipers for $940.00 shipped to anywhere in the lower 48 states. We don't have to arrange group buys, just call when you are ready. The banjo bolt and washers are not included.
  10. Yep no 15" rotor for the rear that Baer makes.
  11. From what Ray says, nobody makes a 15" rotor.
  12. Just a little update. I may have a source for the calipers. I emailed a distributer I found and he says he can beat $950.00 shipped for both front and rear calipers in group buys of 10 but I'm waiting for a final price though. I'm also trying to get the banjo bolts and crush washers from him as well. That way everyone has all the parts they need other than the rotors which Ray (supersub) is the man to see about those. The bad part is that the supplier doesn't want to deal with multiple buyers so what he wants one payment and ship all to one address. I don't mind doing it as long as I receive all the funds from everyone interseted. Material has been ordered and is on the way. I ordered enough to make a batch of stock/Belltech spindle versions, McGaughys drop spindle version, and possibly even a small run for those that want to run the Baer two piece front rotors. Mind you the front two piece rotors are twice the price as the one piece rotors. But it will probably be an option for the few that want to go that route.
  13. Here is the new thread for all the updates on the brackets since this thread is actually Rays original thread selling the last 14 sets he had. Z06 Brake Upgrade Brackets
  14. So I'm starting a new thread since the previous one was actually from Ray selling the run he did. Here is a few pics of the progress we made today. Not 100% what I want just yet, but pretty close. This was the first one we made. Depths or zeros were off, can't remember. Corrected zeros, added chamfers and 30 minutes in the tumbler/de-burrer
  15. Good to hear. Yeah those places will rape you if you let them. When my older brother got his first car Midas took him to the cleaners for two grand. Told him he needed all new calipers, rotors, busings, bearings, springs, struts, basically rebuild the entire front end of his car. He didn't know any better so he said ok. I nearly passed out when he told me what he had done.
  16. Depends on the dealership. When I bought my truck it had upgrades done to it, one of which was a Radix setup. I also got the extended warranty. When the tranny went out the dealership where I live said it wasn't under warranty. The dealership that sold it to me, several hundred miles away, told me that it was. They also found a local dealership that would take care of me if I had any other problems in the future. So it all depends. If they give you a hard time about it, look into the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. If I remember correctly part of it basically says that your warranty cannot be voided simply because you used after-market parts. In order for the worn or broken parts not to be covered under warranty it must be proven that the defect directly resulted from the use of non OEM part.
  17. Thats exactly what I was planning on doing to them . I want them to be totally no modification free. Just bolt on and go. Thanks for the quick reply Bear.
  18. I got a question for the guys that already have the supersub brackets already installed. The spindles I have to mock things up has a slightly raised section around the mounting surface from the original casting, raising the bracket slightly up. Did anyone else come across this?
  19. Nope he is back. Flight was delayed due to bad weather in PA, so he says. Might have a small run if all goes well by next week as long as the boss man doesn't kick us off the machine to use it for "a real job."
