  1. you know sales are gunna be just awesome when the SILVERADO gets bashed on a SILVERADO forum... GM has let me down, yet again. the only 07+ GM truck i would buy is a GMC Serria Denali. now for 14+ i dont think i can even say that... what has happened to the world when KP needs a new shop truck, and we order a 13' Ford Raptor CC 6.2....? not saying anything bad about Ford, its a great truck (lately at least lol) but WE BUILD GM VEHICLES and you know for my SHOP truck to be a Raptor it had to have really outdone the current GM truck- and outdone it in the eyes of a GM certified, GM mechanic/high performance builder. i was so excited for the 14' trucks too... oh well
  2. yeah thats my take on it so far 6+ years, 3 attemps, and no ones even made it as far as opening the hood it IS sadly a true statement but, if a theif wants a car enough they will always have a way to take it. but NOT if they figure the risk of getting caught is too great or its too big a pain in the ass, they will just find another one. that has always seemed to work for me. you scare the shit out of them with a SWAT issue firearm a few times and word gets around, they find less secured trucks with much less insane owners
  3. yeah thats all it is... and its either below freezing or has no head gaskets
  4. like title says, i need ANY color SSS rear factory bumper cover and bumper step pads. i dont NEED the hardware but it would certainly be helpful and wanted. im sure someone with a roll pan has the OEM bumper laying around who could use some money i dont care what color but black would be best. thanks! John
  5. yeah sure, as long as you paint an SSS with it!!! ive always pondered of spraying mine that color... just love the scheme on it now. maybe the JGP truck will get it... but then again its 335/800 so thats prob a stupid idea
  6. i wish lol... usually a good tune, shift kit, and servos will take care of the OEM "slop" shifts that can make this issue even worse. most of the modded trucks we have or have tuned do not make this noise or have this issue any longer. ALSO 8 rib setups never hurt green belt/HD gates will pretty much NEVER break though... things are super strong IMO i have found those belts a sales pitch. they typically do make a noise that a normal belt wouldnt, and slip every bit as much as a gates belt would when overworked. i know some people swear by them but in my professional experience/opinion we do not sell or use them. just our .02
  7. sure, since we make them all by hand we can tailor to any configuration a customer may want just keep in mind that since our design's extordinary sound comes partially from the unique single 3.5" piping and 2 into 1 exhaust routing that the sound may be altered slightly from sound clips... to keep it as close to original sound as possible we would need to keep it routed 2 into 1 and 3.5" single rear section. to accomodate your tips and how much shorter the pipe needs to be for the side exit, it will need to remain 3.5" single all the way up until the tips, where we can make a custom 3.5" single into split 2.5" dual adapter accoding to exactly how u want the tips
  8. thanks for the postive feedback, we appreciate it yeah that matte Balloon White Pearl vette was one of our favorite builds, pictures literally do it no justice what so ever... in person it is SO much better looking. the color itself is an anomoly because its semi-matte, yet pearl... flat but has a semi-gloss sheen to it... AND on top of that in the sun you can really see the matte pearl flip flop really vivid. its got to be one of the best colors we have ever mixed up IMO
  9. nah as soon as i was finishing up, taylor would creep up behind me and stab me in the leg with a dull, rusty knife if i did that
  10. aw you ruined it for me lol that was supposed to be the reply AFTER someone decided to answer my question but yeah exactly what he said... NOTHING to do with your muffler, restriction, etc... ALL these trucks, mainly stock tuned ones, will "chirp" or slip the belt under WOT or heavy load shifts... this is why the LS2 engines started coming with a centrifigal clutch-type alternator pulley on automatic equipped vehicles, to eliminate the noise/slip
  11. thanks, yes we are putting the prototype we developed on Andrew's truck (KPVHO) either this coming week or the next... we have it built, just need final adjustments and install, and if all is good then weld the jig up and start selling them as soon as its on the truck we will have sound clips, videos, dB levels inside.outside truck, etc. price will be very good for a cat-back system- flanges all V-Bands, all mandrel bent, all stainless, all TIG-welded, and with support of over 650 RWHP off the basic system (more aggressive system available for those few who are above that).
  12. oh i know you can squeeze those viynl covers on... my bad i was thinking hard cover for some reason when you said that. i still think my aluminum flush cover will fit over that street scene wing, i just need to buy the wing and try it! thats for the SSS tho, im just gunna keep the bed open on the JGP, it gets used far too much lol.
  13. yeah theres no way its going to just "bolt on" by any means... and like stated above the H3 is based off the Colorado platform so im not surprised to hear they fit. our trucks are totally different in every way as far as suspension goes and i just dont see it happening for many reasons. your best bet, if you REALLY wanna use these- they are cheap as hell, like $130/ea. youd be better off measuring the thickness of the H3 rotors, bc if its not even close to yours or the 05+ 13" rotors, its not going to work out well especially since this is a fixed/static caliper design not floating like most OE calipers. assuming that isnt an issue- trying to put the hub assembly and all on the SSS will not work. your only option is keep your rotors/hubs, use 05+ 13" larger rotors, and you will need to make custom caliper mounting brackets... this is a good idea, its a cheap caliper that should have a decent amount of clamping force. but im with the others, you can get 2 front 6 piston PBR C6Z calipers for $600, $125 for pads, $150 (i think?) for the ALREADY made, very nice brackets that bolt on no hassle. then all you need is a set of Baer rotors, which last time i ordered was $400-450 for a set. IMO its worth the wait to get them, not only a great brake setup but looks awesome. thats roughly $1300 for a 6 piston/15" rotor setup. a Baer 6S kit would be twice that. if your brakes are that bad, you can always buy a set of 05+ calipers and 13" rotors, put some stainless braided lines and hawk HPS pads. thats a HUGE increase in stopping power on these trucks and i see people selling those setups used for next to nothing. i even have two sets id sell...
  14. hmm thats a bit tall of a tire... its gunna rub a bit. you really should go to a 305/40R22. i have 2" belltech spindles, belltech street performance series shocks, groundforce torsion keys up front; in back im using stock SSS leafs, 2" belltech shackles, 2" belltech hangers, mcgoughys helper bags, belltech street performance shocks, hotchkis bars f/r. drop amount by measurement is about 3.5"/4" (i like some rake) oh yeah im running 295/35R24 front and 305/35R24 rear at the moment. prob gunna go back to the 295/30R24 next tire swap tho
  15. anyone know if the gemtop gt classic will take the street scene 3 piece wing? the left and right sides are bedrail caps that run from the cab (totally flat like flush protective covers) but then at the end of the bed they run into corners of wing, similar to ISS wing. my bed rails are getting scratched up since i still use my truck as a truck lol... and i love that wing. i keep looking at it and it looks like itll work but i have another delima... take a look at both pics... i think the bottom of the wing will sit OVER my blue stripe which will look like shit... any thoughts? or any other nice looking wings that would clear? not a huge fan of ISS wing, too Nascar for me i guess. i love the JGP wing but i think it has the same issue of coming down the gate too far ^my stripe is right about above the tail lights and is 1/2" tall... anyone have this wing that could measure it or something????
  16. you found a cover we can run the JGP wing with....? please tell me more, i really need the storage being a RCSB but i just cant get myself to dump that wing. i really like it
  17. thank you sir! that yellow C6Z isnt mine, if you had not guessed that by now thats a customers car... he also has a bright red H2 SUT we put a 10" lift on, 24's on 38x12.50s, Radix... you get the picture ;) the other vette was also built for a customer
  18. aw why'd you gotta go hatin on a playa... shiiiiiiiit he was jus tryin to get his shine on!! i finna buy them twankie eights off u put em on my 01' honda accord that shit be pullin ALLLL the bitches son nice truck man, i really like it. cant beat white!!
  19. they sure do lol. ugh the part of my job i hate sometimes
  20. i personally like magnaflow, we use it on everything... only exceptions are Corsa and B&B but those are big money... nice thing about Corsa and B&B is loud as hell under load but no drone under normal driving. when i say that i dont mean they are silent, they are always throaty but just no drone/throbbing. the best sounding system i ever heard was our dual 2.5" in/single 3.5" Magnaflow system (will be ready to ship out as a bolt on kit by new years ) i will have sound clips this week, just never took any yet. i have one off the exact same system on a LS3 vette i built awhile back... something about merging the two banks into one big single pipe really creates an awesome supercar sound and no drone either. basically its like this- starts off from collector on header/manifold as dual 2.5"/3" pipe (depending on power levels), runs into magnaflow metallic spun highflow round cats, then merges into a single 3.5" pipe, runs into a Magnaflow 4x9 oval muffler 3.5" in/out, then runs as a single 3.5" pipe out to either be dumped or ran to however youd like the tips setup if you prefer that look. let me know what you think about the sound- this car is a 2010 Corvette LS3 w/ E-Force blower @ 6 psi, Kooks 1 7/8" LT headers, Magnaflow highflow round cats, and above mentioned system. it took some tuning to get it how we wanted but it sounds wicked. video does it no justice! feedback welcome
  21. lol tell the customer that not me! yes believe it or not it wasnt MY sport bike... mine is pearl white lol.
  22. you need to start out by getting the load off the factory light circuit... you need to make or purchase an HID wiring harness and hard wire them to a relay. its the best way to do it, that way they get all the power they need to ignite. YES they do take less power once running, but turning on they take more than halogens. on some occasions this sudden jolt of power will overdraw the circuit as it was not designed for HIDs and will either blow the fuse or cause the HIDs not to ignite. start off with the fuse- make sure you have power at the OEM headlight socket. use a test light or multimeter to test light sockets, if no power id check the fuses first. thats prob what happened. once thats fixed wire up a harness, hook the HIDs back up. if they are a very cheep chinese kit they may do this no matter what... i have had very bad experiences with those generic chineese hids... i literrally have a pile of bad ones either new or barely used in the shop. now we only sell quality kits. i buy most of mine from xenondepot.com or kbcarstuff. i think they are vendors on here, check out the vendor section i think they have coupon codes for SSS memebers. the sell a cheaper kit for like $120 that has a 1 year warranty (they are good about replacing/fixing stuff not arguing) and are good systems. good luck John
