silverado777
Paint the tranny silver. Use a good etching primer and paint it silver. Is there reasoning behind this? I was thinking about painting it black...
sprayed99
Paint the tranny silver. Use a good etching primer and paint it silver Why not just do a silver plasti-dip job on it? silverado777
I'm not sure plasti-dip will hold up to the heat
sprayed99
I'm not sure plasti-dip will hold up to the heat It was a joke because Brian HATES plasti-dip. Paint it pink if you want its your transmission.

silverado777
So we had a little bit of an issue with the crank. When it went to be balanced the machine shop noticed that the metal was flaking pretty bad. They ended up calling the manufacturer (Callies) and found out that the crank had been heat treated incorrectly and instead of making it stronger, actually made it brittle. So they had to send a whole new crank. That one came in on Monday and went to be balanced on Monday with no issues. With that being said i was assured that the rest of the engine would be built and the long block will be shipped off this week. This has been such a long process but I'll be excited when its complete.
