Sounds like a head gasket, do a compression check on all 8 cyl and inspect the spark plugs. If compression is low on one or 2 side by side cyls you have issues.

so far all i run is 93 no race gas or anything like that I want to keep it simple. What do you consider "Crazy HP?"

I have some questions about the LQ9 and its tolerance so here it goes- What is typically the HP breaking point on a completely stock LQ9? How Much boost is safe to run without sacrificing power? 8-10 lbs? More? When is it reccomended to do Head Studs and or Rod Bolts?

Anyone have the specs on the typical pin for pinning the crank? I know it's it's 1/4" hardened steel but whats the length?

It's suppose to fit perfectly and yea I am aware of changing the piping. Looks like I'm gonna be a the test subject and I will do a nice write up on it once it's done

I have a buddy who has the intercooler off an 03 duramax. I am thinking about ditching the intercooler i have now for the one off the d-max. Has anyone ever done this or considered it? I need some input please! My specs of the truck are in my sig line with the exception of some more changes im doing in the next few weeks!

My Fuidampner came in today and some new Taylor wires. Funny how I get new wires and the truck starts missing......... Thank god I already planned on tomorrow being a work day on some projects. Hoping to finish up a honda accord, Then doing the wires, installing the new balancer, fuel pump and my DJM lowering kit. Looks like I'm gonna be tied up all weekend! Thank god the weather is gonna be crappy so my wife can't make any alternative plans!!!!!!

Today before work I changed the plugs and checked the plug wires to find out I have 3 burnt wires..... My Fluidampner and my new wires should be in by Friday. Does anyone have any pics of their Drivers Side Plug wires? Of coures with headders? I'm curious to see my options

Words of advice, do the trans mods asap and Pin the crank!!!!! Those are the 2 most important mods to start with!!!!

I drive like an **** sometimes. There were signs of ware in the trans pan but I'm gonna rock it until it quits and then go from there.

Last week before I went on vacation I had the shift servos and shift kit installed and I have to say what a difference!

Why not just run and tune for E85???????????????????

Prepped the truck by removing the DS inner fender skirt and upper engine covers so I can change the plugs and wires again to get rid of the misfire........

I detailed the interior today as well as reinstalled the rear seat with the new mod. I like it! Now to get some plywood and carpet to get the amp off the floor so I can install the ProBox. I have an appointment this Friday to get my 2&4 servos and the Trans Go HD2 kit installed. Guy quoted me $150-$200 to install, I'm stoked and can't wait!!!!!!!!!

Well my crank is a little chewed up. I swapped to an underdrive because its beefier. Now I wish I was making a little more boost because I've already pullied down. I am wondering what the options are for the aftermarket balancers?

The slight difference in height in the tires should not make that much of a diference. Most trucks can even run diferent but close gear ratios and still not have problems. I think the % or tolerance in the diference is like 2-3%.

Just like it says in the title, how many Super Charged trucks are still running the OEM balancer?

I installed my SLP 160* T-stat today, cleaned the MAF and had a local performance shop clean my tune up a little. So here's the problem: the initial guy who tuned my truck screwed the scaling of the injectors up so therefore is messing with several different things in my truck.

yea the wheels are ugly IMO. Dollar for Dollar I'd still pick the SS! Now that I'm blown too we're gonna have a grudge match after I get my trans straight! Only thing done to his is a Monster Stage 3 trans and a small stall.
