  1. It's pretty straight forward as far as installation just as long as you have the right harnesses. Now as far as the steering whel controls thats another story
  2. I cut the bottom of the bucket out to accomidate the new pump and pick-up. Are you refering to that collar at the bottom of the bucket thats roughly 3/4" high right?
  3. When I lowered my truck last weekend I had 4 people taking it off and 3 putting it back on. I don't think I will have that kind of help this weekend so I will remove the tailgate and make an "X" with ratchet straps using the bottom tie downs in the bed, then I'll just use my Cherry Picker to pick it up and then pull the truck from under it bed. I've had to do that on many other long bed trucks so I assume this little 6.5' bed won't be and issue at all.
  4. No I did not. I have seen the right length belt listed by Vortec, but I'm not going to pay $70 for a belt. I purchased a gates green core for $35 plus tax and had it next day, and their customer service for me was top notch.
  5. No It sucks having to pull the bed again! But I shouldn't be too busy this weekend so hopefully I can get alot of other things done too! Maybe take the front end apart and figure out if the d-max intercooler will fit, install my new balancer, pulley up the procharger, replace the ALT/ PS bracket, who knows what else I have laying around
  6. I installed a Walboro GS340 255lph pump in my truck about 2 weeks ago and last thursday the issues started! Truck is hard to start, Can't accelerate more then 1/2 throttle, and I have low fuel pressure. Between 22-30lbs. The truck now does not hold fuel pressure either. Just for giggles I went ahead and replaced the regulator too and zero improvement. I went to the local shop I purchased my pump from and they went ahead and fronted me another pump but this time I am going to use an AEM 340lph pump! This thing even comes with its own flow chart from the testing! In return I have to bring them back the old one when I swap it out. I also ordered a fuel pump Hot wire kit from Caspers? I figured a boost in voltage and efficency is never a bad idea or investment.
  7. The Walboro GS340 I swapped in about a week ago is already beginning to shit the bed! I can't accelerate anymore then 1/2 throttle or my truck leans out! WTF!!!!!! So I did a fuel pressure test and found out im only getting 22-30lbs of fuel pressure...... So thankfully the shop I got the pump from, gave me a newer and better AEM 340lph pump just as long as I return the Walboro! So I figured I would order a hot wire kit for the pump and do it all at once!!!!!!!!!!
  8. So far I found the 114" from O'riley. Thanks for the help!
  9. I have lots to figure out but can't be with out my DD until after Thanksgiving. I really want to go to Fayetteville and atleast see what I'll run with a bad MAF calibration and bad Injector scaling.......... It's killing me lol! I really think I'll be deep into the 13's especially when I see how few mods some others have done and there mid to low 14's with minor bolt ons...............
  10. I went from MSD wires to Taylors because they have a shorter boot on the plug side. I then doubled the DEI heat boots in a different manner and haven't had any issues in a week and counting lol. Now i need to deside on really pushing my engine to 12lbs and tune it, or stay around 7 for now, get the tune nailed and then go back again. I'm kinda stalling because I don't have all of my parts yet to run 12lbs. I really need some belts and to order my injectors though!
  11. If you change the intake are you going with a larger TB? Wires are really no gain just preventive maint. If you did a 160* T-stat and the colder NGK plugs you can run a more aggressive tune. The intake should gain you a little HP and some TQ.
  12. What time? And whats the address? I'm not sure I'd make it out there but just in case.
  13. Typical signs of brake caliper/wheel cyl leaks are excessive oil on the inside of the rims, keep in mind the rear drums will soak up a little bit of fluid in the pads. If I were you to isolate the brake line leak is for you or someone to sit in the truck while running and hold a steady pressure on the brake pedal and see if the pedal slowly fades to the floor. That should be the easiest way to find the leak. I can't see any pictures from work so I cant help with the oil leak unless you describe it better. But for starters you always want to find the highest point on the engine where you see residual fresh oil. You also need to take into consideration, gravety and the wind blowing through your engine bay.
  14. They are going to be my next set from Discount Tires in a 285/50/20 for 170ea iirc plus they have a 50k milage warrenty!
  15. If you do buy Magnaflow mufflers make sure they do not have baffles in them, they should be welded chambers! I personally had baffles break on the 2 magnaflows I had installed previously.
  16. I would like someone to photo shop the wheels on my truck, I am looking for the same wheels but in the gold/ bronze color. I thought I was gonna murder the wheels out but after seeing it on another truck it's just not my thing. Please let me know if anyonw can help me out. You can find pics in my build thread. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/77765-full-circle-03-ss
  17. After I get my injectors I am really thinking of running 12#s and seeing what happens, I would love to see the power it will make on the Dyno! But still looking into new head gaskets, stud kit, and rod bolts
  18. I thought after more research it was a 4.8?
  19. I have been to NAPA and Advanced auto and can't seem to find the belts I need to go back to the stock size balancer. Stock balancer and a 4" pulley requires a 114" belt but I have a 3.2" pulley and think I will need somewhere around a 112.8 to a 113.4 and I am not finding what I need. Does anyone have any part numbers or other places I can find the belts I need? Thanks
  20. I am going to attempt to see if the duramax intercooler will fit this weekend
  21. I am looking to swap out the intercooler I currently have for a stock d-max intercooler if it fits. From there i can clean up the Procharger plumbing and make a hard pipe to the TB. I am going to install my new balancer again and I am considering running more boost. I am now tracking down a set of 60# injectors. When and if all of this stuff comes together and on a good tund I am really hoping and expecting to be over the 550-600hp range to the wheels on a good tune. Does anyone have any additional advise or words of wisdom?
