Lol flow crappers huh? Ill take the 3 hp less for the sound then....
-
It have a whipple on my truck. Works great no problems. The only problem is with tech support there the most ignorant people in the world lol.
-
Everyone leaves out flow master lol. I had all custom exhaust put on my truck with long tubes, H pipe, and high flow cats and man that things sounds bad A**. Not crazy loud unless you stomp on it. Perfect tone I get compliments everywhere I go. Ill keep flow master in business...

I'm selling my factory alternator off my 03 SSS. It's not very useful to most people but I don't need it and hopefully it could help someone out . It only has about 10 k on it and works fine. Anyone interested please message me...

I think the dealerships "tune up" is a joke. Why spend all that money when you can do that yourself?
I 100 percent agree.
-
Lol I see that . I don't really need to get rid of them. Just throwing it out there. Someone in a desperate situation will need them eventually lol.
-
Whipple did you use your ac at all lately
Nope haven't used my ac in forever. Fans only been on my truck for like 4 months
-
im really thinking its the tune... your welcome to email me your tune if you have access to a tuning program or take a screen shot inside the tune of the fan box.
What's the email I can send me tune over to have you look at it that would be awesome?
-
Good stuff man thanks. I checked and both fans do not start at the same time. I checked over the ground a s cleaned everything up. PCM for less sent 40 amp fuses in the harness ill change them out to 30's. not sure what else it could be.
your asking for trouble... those fans DO NOT take 40 amps to turn on. if I had to bet, its one of two things: 1. whoever tuned the truck has NOT enabled the delay feature. what is that? what it does is, spaces apart when the high and low fans kick on, as not to draw both fans at the exact same time. if this is NOT done with an aftermarket harness (or stock let alone just fused better) It WILL overheat the circuit. placing larger fuses is asking for a fire.... a 30 amp should NEVER blow with stock e-fans... have your tune reexamined and check out the fan data. your welcome to send me a screen shot and I will tell you if its right or not. if you have no access to tuning software, just start the truck up cold, stand by the frnt hood open and see if both fans kick on at exactly the same time. 2. you could have a short to ground, this will cause the same symptoms. look over the wiring harness and check your ground realy well.

Yeah I'm not increasing the fuse size at all. Mine had 40's in them and he's saying his had 30's I'm thinking that's why mine melted instead of popping. Thanks ill deff give PCM a call tomorrow morning.
-
Did yours actually have 30 amp in them when you bought the harness? This is the first time I pulled them out and they had 40's in them?
-
Well my truck broke down for the first time this even. Went on a drive out about 40 miles. Filled up on some has and pulled out and my truck started beeping I looked and my truck over heated like a big dog. Pulled right over and shut it off.
I have the electric fan conversion with the PCM for less harness. I pulled the fuses out of the little cup they sit in and both were completely melted. I pulled them out and walked to the gas station bought some new ones and put them in. Started truck up and both are working now but seems the harness gets very hott.
Checked all connections all are tight.
Any ideas?? Anyone have the same problem with this type of set up????
-
Just checked and yes they will work. There all the same till 07... Still interested?
-
That's a good question lol. Not 100 percent sure hopefully someone can chime in and help out?????

Leave the parts on and wait until the first weekend in July and I'll buy it :-) I'm In the market for a SSS with a $15k budget. Just have to wait until July cause I sold my car to my GF and thats when she will have made the last payment to me!
Ill save it for you if you really want it lol

Don't matter really. Just need one. Of course the cheaper the better lol

As the title says I'm looking for a spare one I can port and polish. I'd take mine off and use that one but don't want any down time. If anyone has one please let me know.
Thanks

Oh forgot to mention its supercharged with a whipple side mouth and has custom tune from zippy lol. I'm not 100 percent sure what I'm replacing with it if I'm even going to sell it. Just looking at some options right now. Just seeing what it's worth?
-
Lol hahahaha

Just thinking a few diff things here and there curious to what you guys think I could sell my truck for? What should I settle for? 135 thousand miles. Brand new built up Trans, 2800 stall, boost, afr, and fuel pressure gauges. Long tube heaters with full custom exhaust out the sides with high flow cats. Electric fan conversion and a few other little things here and there.
Any ideas???
Thanks Guys.

You can't fix crazy. And that's who kill people. Not guns
Intake air temp sensor..
in General SS
Posted
WAs having a few issues getting my truck tuned right. Talked to zippy about relocating the intake air temp sensor. He gave me all the info and location on how to do this. Was home early from work today and picked up everything I needed and went ahead and installed the new sensor and wired it up!
What a big difference in performance. Everything seems to be fixed.
Anyone with a supercharger needs to do this. It's very simple. If anyone needs help on doing this I have all the part numbers and instructions on how to do it. Message me if you need help...
Thanks again zippy!
