  1. Meh... not ugly... but it has some things about it, mainly the ass end, that just don't look right. Interior layout is kinda cool. Pisses me right the **** off that this thing has a v6 and gets a dual exhaust... I've got a ****ing LS2 under the hood and GM decided I only needed one tail pipe!!
  2. While I'd tend to agree based on how MOST bag setups are done (the GET ME ON THE GROUND AS CHEAP AS POSSIBLE philosophy) ... there are ways to set up a system that would likely outperform a static suspension.
  3. You're paying for the FOOSE name.... nothing more... they were sold off to MHT awhile back and they're just mass produced as cheaply as possible. http://www.mhtwheels.com/
  4. Thats not a half bad looking wheel design IMO.
  5. Wonder if he'll trade me straight up
  6. **PAGING CHASE** **PAGING CHASE** **PLEASE REPORT IMMEDIATELY TO CODY'S THREAD** With the amount of tranny's Chase has gone thru I'm sure he'd have the best insight on this.
  7. First things first, clean the area completely with some alcohol. Make sure not to get it on the wheels face, and rinse/dry afterwards. I've seen problems like this before and just a simple cleaning to get the gunk out of the opening was enough to make a difference.
  8. If its the one I think it is then its probably for sale b/c its completely undrivable. The first bagged AWD I saw was that same color so I'm assuming thats it... the stress on the front half of that drivetrain being driven at various heights would be absolute murder on the angles. Anyone familiar with air ride systems will tell you that a couple degree change in ambient temps can effect what PSI would level it off, thus causing variations of a couple inches depending on the time of day, of course in a bagged ride its damn near impossible to ever get it EXACTLY level so I can imagine the awd system in that has either given up the ghost or will any time you try to take it for a long drive.
  9. Later on in life that might not be such a bad thing.
  10. HOLY SHIT!! Thats terrible... at least everyone is OK. Look on the bright side... maybe this is a chance to upgrade?? The new sierra Denali's are gorgeous... and sickeningly fast with a couple mods.
  11. Maybe its the angle, but those don't look like 26's to me... 24's maybe.... especially when you consider proportions compared to a newer bodystyle truck... those should look HUGE on a SSS. Just a picture for reference... these are 26's... they look huge compared to yours. Not calling you a liar... just that maybe the angle misrepresents them a tad... cuz they look small to me (for 26's)
  12. I guess I hold my standards a little too high... I wish we would've had more light/room to work with cuz I could've done some really cool shots of everyones trucks. Sadly no... Chase and I each pounded one then we left... they wanted 2 1/2 hour wait for a table for us and SOME MEMBERS didn't have current DL's to get their beers
  13. Results of pics were as expected... pretty shitty... I tried to salvage what I could in PS... also didn't help matters I was freezing and not too motivated to get you guys to get your trucks moved around for individual shots... next meet lets do the pics before I have a pitcher of beer.
  14. Good times guys... it was nice getting to put some faces to all these names/trucks. Next time I won't be a retard and forget a jacket when its <60* outside I'll try and get those pics up a little later today. Still wondering what the segway cop code is for a grocery getter doing donuts on top of the parking structure
  15. Good idea... not my style, but thats whats cool about it is its your own thing... IMO it'd look better painted/powdercoated black.
  16. Very possible.... not that I'd know
  17. Leaving the house in a few minutes... no rain today guys so no excuses... its supposed to ****ing dump tomorrow all day so I guess we planned this right.
  18. I have every intention of being there, but I am fighting a REALLY nasty cold... I've had a fever over 100* almost all week and this is the first day I've felt even good enough to get out of bed and log on. Hopefully I'm on the road to recovery. Doesn't help matters any I threw my back out starting on the install of my new rotors last Sunday... everytime I cough feels like someone is jabbing a knife in my back
  19. Sir Michaels are pretty much the industry standard IMO.
  20. Most important thing to consider when choosing an interior dressing/protectant is if its water based. Anything that uses silicone or alcohol will actually do more harm than good. My personal favorite for plastic/vinyl/etc. is Adams VRT... the stuff just leave a nice clean semi-gloss finish w/ zero greasy residue and its water based. For over the counter products theres always Black Magics interior protectant... it is water based and includes plasticizers (the chemicals that keep plastics flexible during manufacturing) It leaves a more greasy finish IMO, but it does offer great protection. For the nooks and crannies that you can't reach with an applicator I use Adams In & Out Spray... essentially an aerosol version of their VRT. Great for getting inside your AC vents and places like that. VRT on the TBSS... note the nice even matte finish: For leather I use Adams leather conditioner, but to be honest theres not much difference in leather products. Also consider that the leather in these trucks is coated from the factory with a clear protective layer the leather product never even reaches the leather... I use leather conditioners more for the smell than the result. To clean HEAVILY soiled leather a mixture of water and woolite in a spray bottle does the trick and is 100% safe... just follow up with conditioner to return the glow/shine. Thats the combo I used on Chases Camaro and the results speak for themselves. Test Spot: Finished Product: Carpets I use a Bissel LGM hot water extractor for heavy stains, for light cleanup and pretreating you can use Folex or Blue Magic Carpet Spray.
  21. I don't see the problem really... they're at medical dispensaries, require a fingerprint, prescription, and dosage verification... its not like cheech and chong are there sliding dollars into it.
  22. I'll be there of course... with the Nikon... ready to do some high quality pics as long as the lighting is good.
  23. That all "bolt on" kit is a POS... if you ever see a full size vehicle with one in person you'll know why... the door, nor the points it mounts too were never intended to support that kind of weight moving in that direction. I've seen warped door sills, paint rubbed off of edges around gaps, water leaking from seals that no longer align, and all manner of problems arising from these so called "bolt on" kits. To do a TRUE vertical door conversion it takes fabrication and some engineering... the cost of which, if done properly, could easily exceed $3000 on a truck. Either way its a tired fad... jumped on like clear tail lights or spinners... any **** thinks they NEED to do this mod to fit into a custom crowd. Being custom has never been about doing what everyone else does. You really wanna stand out at a show? Do suicide doors... thats fast becoming a lost artform especially on late model show trucks b/c so many idiots feel compelled to do vert. doors. :
