  1. I know you mentioned towing in the original post: The SRT8 has no towing capacity to speak of, so if thats a factor maybe look at a TBSS instead. Dodge decided to put those sweet looking dual exhaust tips where the hitch would have been. After driving both the JGCSRT8 and the TBSS it was a pretty easy decision to make for me. Whats the point of having all that HP in an SUV if you don't have SOME utility left... plus the JGC interior was just uncomfortable for my 6'2" frame. Is the TBSS not an option?? Seems like it would be considering you want something the size of the JGC, don't need 425hp (390 in the TBSS) and you'll still have the ability to tow a full load if the need ever arises.
  2. There is a company CLAIMING to do the SS concept conversions.... oddly enough their website only includes pictures released by GM to the press and the only engine bay pictures are close up shots of an LS7 not the entire engine bay as part of a truck... the only shots of a wheel are taken from another site and shown alone, not on a vehicle... leads me to believe its a scam. If they were actually doing SS conversions you'd think they'd have pictures of a complete truck NOT already shown by GM... but they don't so until I hear otherwise most anyone telling you that you can order an SS concept vehicle are full of shyte. EDIT - heres the site, judge for yourself, but I call shenanigans http://www.easlonperformancevehicles.com/9.html
  3. Oh what could have been *sigh*
  4. If you have to get a JGC at least get the SRT8... otherwise stick with the SS IMO.
  5. LF are a bunch of great guys to hang out with.... but expect a lot of mini truckers.
  6. Thats about the worst I've ever seen.... that would had to have been almost intentional.
  7. I'm fairly certain that included them filling the hole, sanding, painting, and buffing it out too.... which on the roof would be a PITA so $900 seems justifiable.
  8. Sale pending on GMFS... if the kid flaked you'll be next in line P.
  9. This relic has been sitting in my closet for a long time now... it is a first generation ipod 10gb, working condition, minor scratches, but nothing major. Includes original packaging, headphones w/ new set of foam covers, user guide, software disc, wall adapter and firewire cable (NOT USB) This thing was used pretty much entirely in my red truck w/ the alpine adapter... this leads me to believe that the battery life may not be great b/c its been force charged its entire life. Perfect for someone who doesn't want to spend a hundred on a new ipod video just so they can throw it in their glovebox. It will work with any vehicle adapter as far as I know. Looking to get $30+ shipping I'll take paypal or personal check... shipment will be held until the check clears
  10. Danny... I pm'd you on GMFS... I'll take the tails.
  11. must...... put...... one..... into.... the...... trail..... blazer....... AHHHHHHH!!!
  12. He was banned... not sure why, and the truck was for sale on here by him before he was banned. He got a 300 SRT8 and was trying to unload the truck.
  13. UPDATE - oddly enough the package was located... a long time after the fact... I had to go to the local USPS hub and claim it. The rep that called me said the package appeared to be damaged and/or opened so if I didn't want to accept it I didn't have to. I went down there, and it was most definitely opened... the mounting brackets (which fortunately I didn't need) were missing and the retail box inside the shipping box was ripped. Also there was a bunch of scrap wire pieces, like someone had been trying to make a harness or something in the box. What it looks like to me is the delivery guy or some other POS stole the package seeing where it was from and tried to use it... when they realized it wouldn't work and there was heat coming from the USPS as to where the package went they decided to "FIND" it. The gauge itself... other than having smudgy fingerprints all over it, was fine... I still had the OBDII plug and cable installed in the TBSS so I ran out to the lot to test it real quick... worked fine so I kept it. So far so good... glad to finally have a working guage. This has been a hell of a ****ing ordeal. Danny, thanks for all you've done in putting this together, putting up with the "DID IT SHIP YET?" stuff, and helping us get our defects repaired/replaced. You did way more than you had to and I really appreciate it. As for the gauge... love it. Aeroforce has a nice product... but that being said I will NEVER recommend them to anyone based on the experience. Communication is non-existant... if I knew then what I know now I would've gone w/ an MSD dashhawk instead.
  14. Theres one under the hood of my old truck... but since Kris was banned we can't really track it down now... last I heard it was sitting, dirty as hell, and covered with waterspots, on a used car lot in Ontario in a bad part of town It be easy as hell to take it for a testdrive, round a corner, pop the hood and swap the intake... I think I even have the stock intake still in the garage somewhere.
  15. 2/4 looks lower in the back on a truck thats still got the bumper/hitch/spare on it, but if you pull those for a rollpan it'll sit perfect IMO.
  16. I do miss the truck, but knowing now what its like having to haul a baby around I think I made the right decision. It would've been a nightmare trying to keep the truck with the kid... plus I LOVE the TBSS. Thanks... and red is the best color... still.
  17. he probably is referring to the hemoltz resonator, which is the 'tube to nowhere' that is on the side of factory intakes, and some aftermarket ones. Its purpose is to reduce noise, but also to "tune" the airflow so that the intake helps produce extra grunt in the right RPM range. I believe outlaw did away with theirs in the redesigned version.
  18. Honestly I've never tried it so I can't give you any first hand opinion. I have read mixed reviews so I've been reluctant to drop the $$ just to try it out. B/C it is a hand glaze there are some things I can tell you to expect. It WILL NOT remove swirls or scratches.... it will mask them, but not remove them. Its intended (as glazes are) to be used after a polish... it is not a stand alone product. The protection will be minimal. Glazes don't offer much in the way of lasting protection.
  19. Man.... sucks to hear they closed up shop... there were really turning out a nice product. I'd still like to gloat over the fact that I had the very first Outlaw kit installed on an SSS You guys can all thank me for allowing them to develop the kit on my truck
  20. lambo doors are completely played out and pretty much reserved for the tackiest and riciest of rides. If you really want to do something different with your doors, suicide them ... vertical doors look terrible.
  21. OH ITS ABOUT TO GET UGLY!! Update... as of yesterday I had NO RESPONSE still from Todd @ Aeroforce. I Checked my email this morning and low and behold I finally got a PM from him on the tech forum. My original message to him: Response: Problem is... ITS NOT HERE!! This is the specific reason I had asked for tracking info so that I could TRACK it and avoid the rampant issue we have with UPS/USPS/FedEX theft here. This year alone I've had thousands of dollars in shipped merch not make it to my door due to dishonest delivery guys and shitty passers by who steal the stuff off my front door step. At least with a tracking number I can know when it should be there and try to be home for the delivery. I understand that its not Todds fault it has gone missing, but it is his fault there has been a complete lack of communication and support on this matter. I'm going to contact the USPS and let them know I have yet ANOTHER missing package and go from there... I'd contact Todd first... but it doesn't seem that it would matter b/c I wouldn't hear from him for a week anyways. Anyone thinking of doing business with Aeroforce be ready to do ALL the legwork... as nice as the product is their support and communication skills are lacking to a point that I'd say you'd probably be better off with a DashHawk.
  22. HAHA... still looks a little puffy... been there. I gotta get in and have my rib piece filled in... 3 hours so far... probably another 4 +/- to go.
