  1. I've made several 12 sec runs with my TBTC, zippy shift kit and servos. Zippy also does my tuning so my trans has held up great so far(knock on wood). I think with our trans it's luck of the draw. Mine has 93K miles on her and plenty of those are boosted miles.
  2. I think the digital controls were an optin. Mine has it and I'm pretty sure it's on the window sticker as an option. Nice truck but dang price is high IMO for an 2003 stock with that many miles. Not high miles but price still high IMO.
  3. I'd say the installer was to blame then. you driving a 2003 SS? A sun roof wasn't an option back then. it wasn't offered till 2005 I think. Maybe the dealership desiced to add it. Either way it doesn't appear to be her fault so no, I wouldn't make her pay for it. just sucks ass.
  4. crazy stuff. If you really want an email reply, have someone write some VB(visual basic) code for you to email them a million times in 1 second haha . I did something like that. I was messign around and used microsoft access to send a lot of emails to a budy of mine. Funny stuff
  5. Nice TBSS. I've thought about getting ond of those next.
  6. wow, so it was worse than the 1st photos shown. I thought u just had a few dents but the newer pics show a lot more damage. And don't worry about it being 2WD. My 4WD hydroplaned and went all crazy on the highway. I managed to get it undercontrol but still anything will slid. My AWD SS slid in snow at like 3 mph when I turned on an iced road. Lucky for me it was 3 mph and only took a chunk out of one of my old rims. sucks when you slide on ice. There is nothing u can do but enjoy the ride...doh
  7. yeah but the odds are in your favor. My friends mom was saved by wearing her seat belt and since then I have always wore mine. another friend of mine doesn't wear his. It's his choice. I'm an analyst so I tend to make logical choices.
  8. wow, that's crazy. sorry to hear it happen. I would make her pay for it. IMO if you damage something you're using, it's up to you to pay for the fix. If I damaged a friends vehicle while I was borrowing it I would pay to have it fixed. How and why did the sun roof fly off? I've never heard of that happening so I wonder if the installer is to blame. Hope you get it fixed soon.
  9. nice truck good luck with the sale
  10. my alt went out a long time ago. Those things don't last long. I upgrade it to the 145 amp version. These crappy 105 amp suck.
  11. Danny you'll be back. nobody can stay away for ever haha I'm not on here much anymore either.
  12. guess I haven't posted on this new thread yet. My title is: Bus Info Developer Sr. I had to look my title up on my email since it changed awhile back for no reason at all lol. Old title was Sr. Data Mining Analyst. Same job different name I guess.
  13. just be happy she's an honest person. Most would just leave.
  14. Payment is on the way so she is SOLD!! I hate to see her go but it's best for now. I want to get a z06 vette and having both is not best for now. 2 vehicles for fun just isn't a smart thing for me to do right now(SS and vette).
  15. not worth the trouble. stolen, then guy buys it at auction for near nothing and is trying to make some cash on it. all the things that make it an SS are almost gone.
  16. sorry to hear the bad news. I think more people need to add more security features. I'd do the door lock plate and the hood latch plate. If I was in TX, I would look to add these security features to your SSs. From what I've read on here it is so easy to pop our door locks.
  17. Home Inspection like everybody else said is crucial. I got mine free because my realtor is a friend of mine and he worked his magic. I would look at all homes even bank repos. My ex got her house that way and ended up with $40K in instant equity. She did have to repair a busted water pipe but that was about it. she refinanced month later and took cash out to remodel the house and it looks a 1000 times better. she also turned what I call a shack into a 2 car garage. Take your time and find the house you really want and can afford. Don't go balls out on your first house. Most times you end up selling in 5 years or so. In that time though you can add things that will increase the value of the house and walk away with some $$$$$$. Make sure to check out lots of banks. I found one(BB&T) that did a loan based of income and got me a 97% loan so I didn't have to put much down. Seller bought the house to make money but ended up losing money because market crashed on him. Good for me bad for him. House is in a great location so I should be able to make money when I decide to move on. good luck on your first house!!
  18. congrats. I plan on becoming a vette owner sooner or later
