  1. So what are the specs and current mods? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Bout time.... Have fun, be safe! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  3. That's probably why I remember disappointment and lots of swearing....bought them and couldn't use them Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  4. I've never had to use spacers. I think all of mine have been right at .1875. And I bottom tapped the mounting holes and I used a shorter bolt. I just don't remember if the arp or the stock ones are the shorter set. Make sure to clean everything and use locktight Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  5. He's expecting you Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Yeah...killing us man Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  7. When installing the converter bolts be sure the bolts don't bottom out in the tapped hole. I had one brand or maybe even stock that would have bottomed out before actually tightening. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  8. I can get a hold of him, but his number is in his sig if you just want to tect/call him Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  9. I was going to reply the same way. I don't run either and have never had an issue. Just tune it right Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  10. There is nothing wrong with the stock pipes. Just have a muffler welded in place of the stock one and save yourself $800. I'm seeing a lot of guys swapping out the stock dual 2.75 system for a single 3", no one asks why. My buddy's truck had the corsa on his stock cubed motor, lq9 427 and now his ls7 motor and yeah it's raspy at wot. I'm not a fan of it at all, BUT it does not drone in the cab. If that means a lot to you, then I don't know of a better system Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  11. I noticed my remark was ignored Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  12. It uses that hp at what engine load and accelerating to 60 over what period of time in what distance and in what trans gear? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  13. There isn't one that is lighter. I checked before buying the hughes. And the hughes is slightly thicker and look what I was able to do with a lot less tq then you put out. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Your as lucky with the flex plate as I am with rod bolts..... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  15. Yeah the tcs is a pretty good piece. I trust mine on 4500 launches
  16. Yep....that's on my trophy shelf Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  17. If you rear wheel dyno test unlocked then I would guess you may see a hp increase. But when you lock the converter, as long as the stock clutch holds, I would call them liars you see any gain because it's one to one at that point the converter is not effecting hp output. And at that point a transmission part can not increase motor hp, only the percent it transfers. I think they are stretching the truth. Unless I'm wrong....been wrong before...be wrong again But yeah, check out the tcs plate for a budget or the mazeire for top of the line Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  18. If you have high flow cats it's a crap shoot, if you have no cats it's more likely. A dyno tune vs a email tune from a "good" tuner isn't much benefit at low level mods. And remember most anyone can tune wot, it's the good tuner that makes it run great everywhere.
  19. Search my name and flexplates on here and you should get info about when I changed. I ran a hughes for awhile because it was the lightest aftermarket one, and after i tore the center out of it I bought a tcs and have not looked back. Very nice flexplate. If memory serves krambo ran the same on his monster I think I read in your post the drivetrain loss will be 6%....no I think I also read a converter will increase hp?....no Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  20. I wish more of the old pioneers would return Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
  21. If my memory serves the Ls7 heads will not fit a stock block either due to bore size
  22. everyone has an opinion about what is right and what is wrong and its fine to share to it, but so threads like this never have to be made again we will stop them before they get out of hand. If someone uses this product and is proud of what they did, they should be able to post pics and a thread without fear of being hung. So if anyone does make a new thread showing off what they are proud of or the project they did, any negative comments aimed at the OP will be removed so they can have a clean thread. This does not mean your opinion of "not my taste" or "not for me" will be removed, just anything aimed to insult or put down the OP. I hope this is an acceptable solution so we don't loose members or cause perspective members to shy away. Brad
  23. Guys this is ridiculous. Everyone has an opinion and everyone is entitled to share it, but share it and then back down or support it with facts only. And if you support it with facts do so in a way that does offend other member and a mod doesn’t have to edit 4 pages of comments on his lunch break. We can’t continue with the language, like it or not it’s the sites rules. And the same for insulting members. Both guys involved need to back off and respect the others opinion. I don’t know why I’m leaving this thread open, but I will unless it continues to go south. Keep it clean and respectful. Brad If anyone has any concerns with other members or any thread/post, as always, feel free to contact myself or any of the mod team.
  24. 8.9 dcr is closer to the boarder. Like I said, it's been a while, but I think I'm at 8.9. But, yeah dcr should be figured out before running any combo of parts. At least inmo Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
