  1. BSER makes them slightly oversized so that you can trim to fit. I had to do some minor sanding/reshaping on the edges, and trim the top just a tad, but the fit wasn't bad overall. Now, if I would just get the damn thing painted after being on the truck over a year...
  2. I have a friend with those tires on his truck. Good traction in rain/snow/ice and VERY good tread wear. I'll be getting a set for my winter wheels next season most likely.
  3. Yes, the 275/45's are shorter, it's like getting a set of steeper gears and makes the truck launch pretty hard. It's easy to keep the speedometer correct with HPTuners, EFI Live, or even hand held programmers. Handled a lot better too.
  4. That's going to look really nice when it gets done. Super sharp truck that needs some magazine coverage for sure!!!
  5. Vroom Vroom! Need to see video!
  6. I run 295/45/20 on 20x8.5 Centerline Rapids. I actually wish I would have gone slightly narrower tire because the sidewalls look a little funny (to narrow of a rim, so they're buldged out just a bit). I still have my old 275/45/20 tires on my old Centerline Zoom 20x8.5 wheels for winter and I like the lower profile ones much better. When the 295's wear out I'll get something a little more like the 275/45/20's again.
  7. I've never heard of swapping an idler pulley for any reason... why would you do this???
  8. Cripes man, trying to set a world record or what? Serious blower porn!
  9. Whoa, are you going to go for it that soon? I thought you said in an earlier post that a D1 would be a winter project? Find a deal you couldn't pass up?
  10. I've been going to this location for 20 years, with 12 different vehicles and 4 bikes. I've done Hardees before, but never in the SS. Might be a fun time...
  11. Love the "bonjie blue" on the mid pipes. Nice touch!
  12. Better make it quick, they're only going to be open for another month or so. Stupid Hy Vee grocery store is coming in and they're going to start ripping shiz up soon. It will be a lost icon for sure.
  13. I've been averaging 17.4 since I tuned for E85 and upped the spark and got 19.4 on my only real interstate tank last week. I have not been over about 16 interstate since I went to shorter tires 2 years ago, so it's a real step forward.
  14. Uh oh... There seem to be all of these P1SC kits coming up for sale that have been tempting me already, and now you're going to have one for sale locally?!?!?! I might as well call the divorce attourny now.
  15. Looking good guys! Had a chance to check mileage after the Efans yet? I know my around town went up a couple MPG, interstate stayed about the same... Made mid-throttle "zippiness" gains, but no real performance for me. Poor Richie, workin nights and falling asleep... I'm surprised you didn't play a joke and write on his forehead or something.
  16. I've had some 42's sitting in my garage too, but I decided to get the ones that don't need wiring or rail changes instead. Got the 60's in eh? Must be getting close to upping the boost with a new IC and piping then???
  17. Last time I got above 15-15.5 on the interstate I was going with the wind! This time, I went out and there was no wind and coming back I was bucking 30-40MPH winds coming straight at me!
  18. WHOAH, NSFW website there Chase!!! Our HR lady happens to be here today too, glad she was on the other side of "cube land"!!!
  19. LOL @ E85Boy, maybe I'll change my screen name. 42's should be installed next week/weekend depending on how my motorcycle work comes along (rebuilding front forks and troubleshooting a new voltage problem that popped up last night).
  20. What's the part number on your shift kit?
  21. You don't need foam backed fabric, but for sure get upholstery weight lined material (if you go Ultrasuede). I've gotten it for $17 a yard at discountfabricsusacorp.com
  22. No, we have one machine here in the office with VMware that runs it (actually have Vista, XP, XP SP3, and 2000 server on it), but out in the field a dual boot or VM isn't really feasible on a laptop. XP SP3 even killed some of the older Nortel tools.
  23. I agree to a point. Protect yourself well and only download from your trusted areas when possible and you should be OK... but FOR SURE do backups often and run active scanning in your virus software.
  24. Never an option in my version of Vista for "legacy", but yes, we did try XP compatability settings, running as system admin/etc. The file structure for the program to run was just not made to be compatible with the "temp" or "faux" files that Vista tries to run in, even in campatability modes. What we found is that in compatability mode, it cut the data LAN port off from being able to write good/live sniffer data to the actual file. The data would appear to be there, but was corrupt upon opening. Spent nearly a month with a Nortel data engineer trying to fix it before just reloading.
