  1. I remember something about this truck. Pretty sure it had a 370 in it and it was turbocharged. the owner was on here for awhile. haven't seen him around for a bit. thought it ran 11.1 or something like that if its the same truck I'm thinking of.
  2. Heck yeah. Nice. still has good oil pressure at idle to.
  3. I know it can be done but how is this Air Ride going to work on a AWD truck? if its still AWD there will be a ton of work for up front to be done. or is it being mounted to the torson bars to raise and lower it. Like I said I know it can be done Im just interested in seeing how its installed on a AWD truck.

    New DD

Nice little DD. who needs a V8 for a DD. I have 4 Banger Honda can't complain about 26 MPG in town.
  5. Man if these all fit the same I'd jump on it. its already painted to match and I'd sell my unpainted one. I'd hate to get it here and still have to paint it if the gaps were way off. good deal if its a direct bolt and doesn't need to be fitted.

    Heavy TLC!

Looks like a good deal for only 5k. I would not have passed it by. heck I'd probably paid 5k for it without a engine. heck 6.0 are only about 1k around here. so even if the Motor fails on you its still a good deal. the engine covers look much better.
  7. I did alittle bit of everything with it. the down fall was it was so heavy with the big motor. but it was still a blast and held its own. nothing crazy fast but it was quick. It was really fun when you got to stretch its legs. having 6 gears and tons of RPMs was a blast. Yep its the factory color.
  8. Dude that sucks. I could not do it. I would eiither build a one stall garage to keep my truck in it when I'm not around it. Or I wouldn't own it. I just couldn't do it. There is always a new story on here where a Vehicle is getting jacked out there. I'd hate to live that way.
  9. Looks great. if you decide to paint the duct's I think it would look great being black. if you go black on the duct's the emblems would look good black as well. either was its a good looking truck. I like the Red and black.
  10. Yeah I had talked to my insurance company a year ago and asked about replacing after market stuff of my truck if it was stolen or in a fire and he said I needed to keep recceipts or I need to get an appraisal on it for it to be covered. I hope it all works out for you and they dont try screwing you around on the value of the truck.
  11. So hows that work with having aftermarket mods? do they cover that or did you have extra insurance for it?
  12. Congrats. Thats neat. Its crazy you got it back.
  13. Sorry to hear about your bad luck once it comes to it still leaking. once you had the t-case off did you check each mating surface to make sure it wasnt damaged? Unless the bolts are not tight enough. If both mating surfaces are free of any defects then I'm not sure what can be done other than using RTV. I see some guys dont like using it. But I do and I never have leak's. I can not stand a vehicle leaking any sort of fluid. Here ya go give it a try if you can't get it to stop leaking. Like I said I apply a thin layer to each side on the paper gasket and then install it. I wait tell the RTV dry for a few hours before adding any fluid. http://www.permatex.com/about-us/news-events/press-releases/176-gear-oil-rtv-gasket-maker-designed-for-use-on-transfer-cases-and-differentials heres another RTV made for automatic transmissions. it designed to not break down. http://www.permatex.com/products-2/product-categories/gasketing/gasket-makers/permatex-automatic-transmission-rtv-gasket-maker-detail
  14. Once your truck is up to making the power that it should post up the stall speed of your current converter Shawn. I'm not taking a poke at you at all, but more in interest in what yours is doing because you do have the parts to be in the mid 11's on boost alone in the 12psi range. At that level of torque output I'm interested in where your stall goes to. What are you seeing currently on the footbrake? With my last setup which was a stock 6.0 at 13 lbs with a stock 80 with my Circle D conveter my stall speed on the footbrake was right around 3200rpms. when I order a converter I asked for a 3200-3400. Its right were I was wanting it. I have also had a TCI conveter the was supposed to be 2600-2800 and it blew right past the stall speed. it was more like a 3200-3300 I also have a Hughes 3000 in my V8 S10 and it cant even hold to 2600RPMs before it just wont hold anymore. its starts pushing the truck at 2500 rmps. I have just had good luck with my Circle D. But I'd hope so because I paid double the amount for it over the other brands I have had. I'm not saying the circle D converter Is the only TC to get. i'm just sharing the info I have had with it. Doesn't mean its the best one out there. just means I happy with mine. with time and miles do converters tend to loosen up??
  15. The link you posted above doesn't work. but if you need the bed caps to go down farther I bought a set of bush wackers once and they cover some scratchs on a truck I had. I got the smoothback ones they were nice.
  16. Welcome. Im kinda confused. you said you like building fast machines? if that where true why did you build mustangs.??? Lol J/k post up some pictures so time. we like fast stuff.
  17. You can also do a over the rail sprayin bed liner. I know some guys dont care for over the rail. but it will hide the scratched paint on top of the bed rails and also protect the bed rails if you ever hit it with something your putting in your box. When I bought my truck it already had a over the rail spray-in bed liner. I wasnt crazy about it at first but I feel it has saved me a few time.s I dont haul a lot of stuff in my bed/ But from time to time I do. If I were you I wouldn't do the color matched bed liner. they fade over time and look bad. the sun dyes the color out of the bed liner. I installed sprayin for a few years. the color matching looks good for a few years then the would start to fade. unless the truck never sits in the sun. Heres a picture of my over the rail spray in bed liner. it has saved me a few times.
  18. There is a gasket for that mating surface. I have bought them a few times from all the times I have swapped trannys out on the SS. you can get them at the dealership for like $9.00. even with the paper gasket I still use a bit of RTV i have always applied a thin layer of RTV on both sides of the gasket before installing it. I have had really goof luck with zero leaking there. you only need to remove the rear driveshaft to drop the T-case. its really not that bad only 6 nuts to remove, a speed sensor and a vent tube. I always lift the rear of the truck a few inch's higher then the front to prevent the transmission from leaking fluid out.
  19. Good looking truck. I thought red SS were Victory red???
  20. Looks great. I think the 3/4 is about perfect drop for these trucks.
  21. Yeah they are sweet. its just hard for me to build something like that just knowing they only really serve one purpose and thats a straight line. some of the guys dune theirs when we are out. but they are not too comfy to ride. almost no suspension and the seats are usually cut to nothing to save weight. some of the guys get their bikes super light like 220lbs. I have a buddy who as a super light bike heres a picture. Heres from last year. this was a fun trip about 35 bikes in our group. some are under the cover because it was misting rain.
  22. Mine was extended with a 8" extended swing arm and big 25" sand paddle tires and it still fit in the bed of the SS with no problem.
  23. No not very much at all. I still have a raptor and 450. but don't have much time to enjoy them. life takes off and you just don't find the time. just bought a new home so that will be my summer this year. with having a son now I'm thinking on getting a 4 seater side by side for the wife and lil man then I can ride the atv's. or buy a 4 seat rzr.
  24. I have 2 sports quads. a 06 yellow raptor 700 and a 2010 yfz450r fuel injected. I have had many Sports atv's over the last few years. Im a fan of Yamaha's looks like you got a nice looking bike for a great deal. A few years back I built a 07 raptor 700 with a Yamaha R1000 street bike motor in it. it was a blast. I got bored and sold it now I'm kicking myself. Heres the R1 raptor I built and sold. Loved this bike. I will build one again. MMMM 4 cylinder fun Heres my current 2010 yfz450r bike. such a fun bike. We do dune trips. my buddys are hardcode drag bike builders
