misterp
Well as Dan said he got the radiator core and bumper back on the truck. Tonight was finishing installation of the electric fans, finalizing design of PCM mounting & installation, CAI plumbing, upper radiator hose routing, and honestly we just needed a night to regroup and replan. Plenty of room between the engine accessories and cooling fans Passenger's exhaust manifold installed - looks good! The CAI will be refabricated from a K&N unit off a Silverado. A battery relocation had originally been considered and dismissed in early planning (out of budget) but after tonight's discussion we will go ahead and relocate the battery to make room for a very robust designed CAI. To-do list: * Fabricate Y-pipe to catback * source/install smaller power steering pump pulley * measure/source smaller accessory drive belt * cut/balance/install driveshaft * source/install A/C lines * plumb tranny cooler lines & mount external ATF cooler * fabricate throttle/cruise cable bracket * fabricate CAI * install engine radiator hoses * finish EFan control box wiring * Battery relocation * Wire engine management harness to fusebox * Wire body control/instrument panel to PCM harness * Charge A/C, fill fluids * Program PCM So we'll continue to be at it the rest of the week I'm sure. misterp
Yup now lookin' like a real truck; we're down to the short strokes. I think we're a day ahead of schedule. Mr. P. Add to the paint list - the upper radiator hose clamps, the rusty ones look nasty, need to be hit with black spray paint. Edited May 14, 2009 by Mr. P.
