  1. Cool.. sorry to be a pain... guess I misunderstood your earlier post... I thought you meant 3-5 days for build and ship, not 3-5 for build and 3-5 to ship also... I'll try and sit on my hands and not bug you anymore
  2. Go with a steel pan... have it welded in and finished off nicely IMO. Either Sir Michaels or Custom Classic have great rollpans. http://www.customclassic.com/
  3. maggie and custom vette style engine covers for the coil packs... very nice setup.
  4. Update?? Have you received them from Aeroforce yet?? Sorry to be a PITA... just excited to get mine.
  5. Mine was filled... still one of the few... and last I heard it was still 100% crack and defect free.
  6. Awesome pics... I have some 'updates' on mine... still haven't gotten around to taking pics yet... perhaps a wash and photo session is in order
  7. Yup... that would be NorCal... hes got probably the most modded TBSS I'm aware of... very tastefully done too.
  8. Thats a hell of an accomplishment with that truck... some serious time/effort invested I'm sure.
  9. If I recall correctly the back and bottom are not available separately. It'd probably be best just to take it to an auto upholstery shop and have them make you a new one to match... it would probably be much cheaper and made of REAL leather too.
  10. HOOD BADGE: REFLECTION SHOTS: Again, sorry for the lack of full truck shots... ****ing cheap ass SanDisc card took a shit.
  11. Blackbeast SS contacted me thru the forum a while back interested in getting his truck detailed when he was in town. Today was the day.... truck came out great, not perfect, but damn near. I got a couple of pictures, for some reason my memory card corrupted the shots of the entire truck. Hopefully he'll add some when he gets a chance. 12. Yeah... I should clarify... a PC takes down your clear each time you use it by a very very very very small margin... we're talking infinitesimally thin layers of clear. The more aggressive the pad and polish obviously the more clear you take down. That being said if you PC your paint every time you wash over time you can start to get thru the clear... this tends to be an issue more if you have a poor paint job to start with. I've seen factory ford paint so thin that under the 500w hallogens I could actually see thru the pigment to the primer. Should the average person using a PC be concerned? No. Can it happen? Yes, but only in very rare cases or unless you actually TRY to burn thru. The oscilating movement keeps it from building heat, heat and friction are what will remove clear.
  13. A large claybar will treat an average vehicle 6-8 times in my experience w/ moderate contamination... less if the vehicle gets nasty between uses. Thats actually alot when you consider that you probably don't need to clay anymore than every 4 months. The Zaino bar is soft, but all claybars are not good to use on a HOT surface... the bar should be maleable, but not too soft... if it streaks heavily while using its too hot and you should either wait for the vehicle to cool down or wait until you have shade to work in. Yes, you can polish thru clear. With a PC you can polish thru a clearcoat, it would take a lot of time, but you could.
  14. Aint that that truth... I can see Cody, as big & bad a dude he is, getting manipulated by his little princess...
  15. HOLY CRAP CODY!! I can't believe I missed this thread the first time around... congratulations from Me, Amanda, & Tanner... you life is going to change in a BIG way, but all for the better.
  16. Hes pretty firm on the $4k price... again, these are like new and come ready to mount up... no need to pay for the TPMS to be installed, no need to balance, ready to go as they sit. Yup... they'll fit any GM truck 6 lug pattern and they are a cast wheel.

    Jeep Srt 8

That hennessy SRT8 has been out for a while now... and LPE hasn't had anything in the works for the TBSS... but I do wonder how hard it would be to change their stuff for the SSR into a TBSS... same chasis, same engine... hmmm.
  18. So you can't get a real idea of what all the final body lines are until they're ready for you to see it... just a means of keeping it disguised as long as possible.
  19. Yeah... he wants em gone, even if it means taking a hit... All together with the wheels, tires, TPMS, mounting (which is not easy on a 26" rim) and balance he was into these things for well over $7000

I wish Lingenfelter would do a TBSS... all they have now is a radix package that almost anyone could do... they need to offer a TT 427 package to show them hennessy boys whats up.
  21. REALLY love the look of this truck... all it needs is a nice set of black 22's and its done IMO.
  22. If you think an IT job has got you burnt out try spending all your time detailing. I think its cool you're passionate about it, but I'll be honest... unless you are working for a very high end client base, and doing corrections with a rotary buffer, offering color sanding, and all other manner of HIGHLY skilled services you won't be making $30k a year after expenses. Theres a reason I'm only doing this part time... its not going to provide me with enough disposable income to feed my expensive tastes. Not trying to rain on your parade, but all things will "burn you out" so don't think detailing will be a life of happiness... again, theres a reason I only do it part time. Keep your job, keep the benefits, keep the CONSISTANCY of income (detailing is anything but consistent) Try to do side jobs for a while and see how it goes... but don't expect to make a fortune in detailing. Also, keep in mind detailing does better in some markets than others... So Cal, Florida, and areas like that have the best base for detailing businesses... the weather stays good most of the year, theres tons of people, and those people have disposable income to spend on their cars... detailing is a luxury service... you need to approach it as such if you want to be successful. You wouldn't open a Ferrari dealership in the middle of Nebraska farm country.
