  1. Well I don't want it either! And it's not junk lol
  2. Need to get rid of some stuff that has been cluttering up my garage. All prices are OBO and do not include shipping. First up is my stock hood off an 04 SSS, arrival blue. No damage whatsoever and paint is in great shape. Would prefer to sell this local or can meet within a reasonable distance. $200 OBO Front and rear stock driveshafts from the same truck, pulled them out when I swapped to the 80e. Not sure what they're worth so lets just say $125 each or $200 for both. Front could be shipped fairly cheap but the rear would be a bit more expensive on freight. Factory air box and intake $125 comes with like new filter. Factory fan clutch and fan $50 I'll update with pictures and possibly more items when I come across them.
  3. Procharger is definitely the way to go IMO if you're set on a supercharger. Very efficient kits and make great power. Check over on performancetrucks.net, there are usually a couple used kits floating around on there. Good luck!
  4. Youre supposed to post a screenshot of it....GOSH! Lol
  5. Only reason I wouldnt mount it in front of the heat exchanger is the already imposing heat issues with the blowers. Not saying it wont work there, I would just rather have all the unrestricted air flow over the radix heat exchanger as possible, as well as keeping the trans cooler away from the possible radiant heat of the exchanger
  6. You could try mounting it in the lower bumper opening, should give it more than enough air flow. Dont have a Radix but just a thought for ya!
  7. How much? Miles?? Pics??? A bit more info will go a long way. Glws
  8. Found my SS and my 78 K5 from back when I worked at OReillys.
  9. Only a few but looking like my truck may be cam only for a while. In the process of buying a house and not sure when Ill have the extra coin to drop on the truck. Jay, ETMC is owned by a friend of mine and though Ive never had any work done by their shop they do have a very good rep from most people. They have built some very nice and respectable cars and trucks and its a smaller shop (only 2-3 employees) so they tend to pay attention to detail a bit better. I have heard his tuning is a bit on the slacking side sometimes but thats just all word of mouth info from other people. Ill be back in Longview this weekend, might bring the SS, but probably be in the DMAX.
  10. I think youd be surprised how much difference youd actually feel going from 3.73 to 4.10....but regardless, ill still pull you from a dig even without the blower ;)
  11. Haha, yeah I kinda pushed Steve toward the site a little.
  12. Im happy with the 80e swap. Didnt cost nearly as much as rebuilding the 60e over and over again and IMO it drives and shifts so much better than the 60. Maybe youll get lucky and catch something thats under warranty.
  13. I got lucky when it come time to replace my shocks and found a member on here who had his factory shocks he pulled off at 20k ish miles when he dropped his truck. Id go that route if you can find anyone who still has some low mileage shocks, the stockers ride great IMO. If you want to go aftermarket talk to Tony (Norcalss). He can hook you up with anything suspension related stock or dropped.
  14. Could possibly be the clutch. Most times if the clutch goes you can hear it, it will make a very loud whooshing sound when accelerating (not the most professional description but that's all I could think of to describe it lol). I had a similar problem with my truck a while back and come to find out one of my fan relays had crapped out and only one fan was working and when stopped I wasnt getting nearly enough air flow across the condenser to keep the a/c cool. Does the temp gauge seem to be running higher than normal when sitting in traffic or stopped for a longer period of time? That could also be an issue if the fan clutch isnt working properly.
  15. Are you still running the factory clutch fan setup or have you switch to electric fans? Since you say its cold while you're driving but warm when you're stopped I would lean towards not enough air being passed through the condenser when stopped. Obviously when you're driving air is being pushed through it but when stopped you're relying on your fan(s) to pull air through the trans cooler/ ac condenser/ radiator.
  16. Yup, that would be the A/C belt. K040378 is the Gates part number. K060923 is the main serpentine belt if you have the 105 amp alternator or K060930 if you have the 145 amp. Wont hurt anything to run it with the A/C belt off, just dont turn on the A/C.
  17. Wish you were closer, Ive been wanting to buy a table for years just never have pulled the trigger. GLWS!
  18. I went with the 305's just for the simple fact that the tread pattern of the 420 looks much better on a wider tire. A friend of mine had them on his SSS in the stock size and to me they just looked too skinny. 305's fit the factory wheels great and dont rub with a 1/2 drop so being stock height youd be fine to go with the 305's if you wanted.
  19. Seen you out at Dallas Raceway a few times. Very clean rig. GLWS
  20. They look to be a decent tire and have pretty good reviews. For the money though id recommend the Nitto 420S. Ive had great luck with them on my truck.
  21. Nothing to worry about with those temps, but it would help out a lot if you throw an aftermarket cooler on there. You can pick up the Trucool 40k for under 150 bucks and its cheap insurance to keep your trans temps way down.
  22. Welcome aboard and congrats on the truck. Ditch the running boards for sure!
  23. Pretty sure I have some laying around somewhere
