  1. More than likely the fans not coming on is just a relay or fuse issue and not the actual fans. As far as the AC blowing hot problem, thats probably one of the blend doors sticking and not working properly. My truck did that for about the last year or so that I owned it. Turn the truck off and back on and it would usually work correctly. I wasnt willing to tear the lower dash apart to replace the blend doors since I didnt drive the truck much. Also, take the battery up to oreillys or something and have them throw it on the charger (make sure the dumbass knows to set the charger to AGM type battery). But if it sat for a couple of weeks and all you did was jump it off that battery is probably still pretty drained. The alternator on your truck isnt designed to charge a dead battery, its just there to keep a good battery charged up.
  2. Good choice. I have one sitting in a box waiting to go on my camaro whenever I get around to putting the new motor in it.
  3. You can cap off the passenger side valve cover. Depending on which catch can you decide to run, a breather on the oil fill cap may or may not be necessary. While more expensive than some, check out the Mighty Mouse catch cans. With one of his cans it would eliminate the need for the oil cap breather and it comes with detailed instructions on exactly how to route everything. Customer service is top notch too so if you have any problems of questions during the install hes always there to help. For your application the Gen 4 PCV can is the one that would probably work best.
  4. Not too bad brother. Just living the good life, trying to keep up with my kids. They're crazy most of the time. Yep, sold it probably 6+ months ago or so. It sucked watching it drive off, but it was time. I replaced it with a 4th gen SS.
  5. I dont know what the rest of your fuel system consists of but if youre still running the stock regulator in the tank its definitely time to upgrade and get rid of that. But with a 408 and that much boost I cant imagine that your fuel system is still stock in tank besides the 340 pump.
  6. Howdy Muggs, how's it goin. Wonder when Jon boy is going to show up.
  7. Hi Brian, how have you and your lady been? And who the hell is kcocofolda? LMAO
  8. Thanks. I have a feeling it will stall out around the 2000 mark for quite a while since the SSS is long gone and I don't frequent this forum anymore. Things have changed.
  9. How was the fitment on these and what brand are they? I need some new fronts for my dmax badly.
  10. If anyone is still around these parts anyway. Finally hit 2k posts, woohoo!
  11. Not necessarily on the opening of the wallet. Long tubes, tune and a used maggie or procharger kit would more than likely end up being cheaper than or close to the same price as heads/cam/intake when swapping everything over to LS3 stuff. In my honest opinion, because I've been there done that with these trucks...If you want to continue to enjoy driving your truck on a daily basis for a long time, beef up the transmission, find a nice used maggie or tvs blower and enjoy the power. Honestly Id still have my truck if I would have done that to it from that start and left it alone.
  12. Just order the pacesetter y pipe for the 99-07c trucks, its going to be the same for all of the trucks since youve decided to run a single exhaust. Or pick up a ypipe from Texas Speed or Speed Engineering. Both of their ypipes will work with pacesetters, theyre cheaper than the pacesetter y pipe and theyre stainless.
  13. Yeah I would think it is safe to say that you're out of pump at that level. Either pick up another 340 to drop in the tank as a secondary pump (if a second one will fit, i dont know much about those pumps or their physical size) or upgrade to a bigger single pump like the Walbro 450. Also, have you checked your IDC right before you're running out of fuel? A bigger pump will help the injectors out some but with a 408 and 16-17psi it might be time to start looking into bigger injectors as well if the duty cycles are way up there.
  14. A new radiator just to install electric fans that came on the same truck just a couple of years later with the same radiator? What the what...
  15. How much boost are you running? Id say its time to upgrade to a 400/450 walbro and ditch the 340.
  16. Larger TB and x link yes, but you can also use an LS2/3 TB if you dont want to spend the big bucks for a nick williams or such. You could get by without the vacuum block but it will make your life much easier to spend a few bucks and pick one up since vacuum hook ups are very scarce on that intake. As far as the external regulator, that is definitely not necessary. Before I did a complete fuel system overhaul on my truck, i simply picked up an adapter for the factory feed line to AN oring, which i attached to a billet y block and then ran a -6 line from the y block to the rear of each rail. Since the 04+ trucks have the regulator built into the bucket assembly, there was no need to redo my whole system when i installed the hi ram when the mock up stuff I put together worked just fine. I still have the entire list of fittings and lines that I used saved if you decide to go that route I can give you all of the part numbers and walk you through setting it all up. To really clean up the engine bay when using the hi ram a wire tuck will be your best bet. If not, all of the factory wiring thats on top of the factory intake will now be on top of your hi ram and trust me, that didnt look good at all.
  17. Out of the MANY exhaust combinations my truck had while I owned it my favorite by far was the single 4" setup with the oval bodied Borla XR-1.
  18. The cheap stuff is fine. Auto Zone, Oreillys, Walmart, etc. Just as long as its DEX III
  19. Yes, the transmission and transfer case have separated fluids for each unit. Id suggest draining out the remainder of the fluid left in the transfer case and filling it back up with fresh fluid. Some will suggest the GM auto trac fluid, some will say use Dex III transmission fluid. After a lot of research and talking to transmission builders and GM techs, Dex III is what needs to go back in it. The Auto trac fluid was designed for the auto 4x4 transfer cases, not the full time all wheel drive cases. I ran Dex III in mine for 75k+ miles after I bought the truck and had zero issues with the fluid. And what I drained out of it when I bought the truck was also plain transmission fluid. Just don't use Dex VI or a synthetic fluid. Plain old Dex III is what you need sir.
  20. Package deal on the radio and full exhaust? PM me, I have paypal ready sir.
  21. Do you still have any of these? Im still looking for one.
  22. You should be alright with that pump without over powering the stock FPR. According to their flow chart it won't actually flow 320lph @ our base fuel pressure. Their 320lph rating is @ 43psi. 58-60psi it'll be somewhere in the 280-300 range. I also run Walbro pumps so other than what AEMs website says I dont have any other info or advice for ya.
