  1. on the freeway and in cruise control at about 78mph, my lockup in overdrive started "hunting" back & forth between 2300rpms & 3000. If I put it in 3rd gear it held fine. i would say that is your problem. in OD it can't make up it's mind, locked will pull for a short distance, then decides it needs to down shift. i think your trans will be all right for a while, but towing that kink of weight, and at that speed, IMO.. is asking for a disaster to happen. trying to stop fast, GM brakes are not the best even with trailer brakes it will be a tough. most ST225-75R-15 tires are ONLY speed rated at 65 mph max...
  2. street legal from NY... i wonder how much he had to pay to get his smog/safety inspection stickers.
  3. when i was back in NY when mine got to about 30% i had about 2500 mi on it from last oil change. but there i was only 2 mi from work and a lot of stop and go driving.not a hole lot of places where you can go over 30 mph Even on the Long Island Expressway but out here when i get to around 30% I've put over 7000+ mi 98% highway, so i don't know. i also think that changing M1 every 3000 mi is a wast of $$$
  4. having a girl is the BEST.. congrats..

  7. but if he sat his fat a@@ in it, it would of only taken 3 sec. and we could have saved the rest of the time..
  8. the way i do mine, is spray the cleaner on and let sit for a couple of min, and run water over, and inside of it, until clean. you DO NOT have to spray water on it, just open the tap about half way or less. shake the water out and let air dry. spray a lite coat of oil from the kit on it, and reinstall.. what i do, is take the truck for a run down the road for about 10 min, and when i get back, i;ll clean the MAF. for any oil that got on it.. hope this helps,
  9. i don't think there fused. should be hard wired in with your tails. check to see that maybe the wires were pulled out by the snow..

  12. i would put a 20 amp. charger on it for a few hrs. and see what happens. like stated above, may not of had a good charge to begin with. if it still goes dead then you can take it back for a new one, or start trouble shooting your electrical system. first check to make sure nothing is left on, then i would have your alt. checked for a bad diode in it... good luck
  13. things like this is why our business carries a $1.25m liability insurance policy. i feel bad for the vette owner, should receive full compensation for his loss. the business owner is still responsible for ALL that happens. wish the vette owner all the best, but he is going to have a long fight comming..
  14. take it from me..be careful of pain meds. got hooked on that s**t 17 yrs. ago after a 60'+ fall. was taking 1500 mg of cocaine every 3-4 hrs. for over a year. and took another 3 yrs. to quite taking them, not for the pain, but for the buzz. i have built up such a high tolerance for pain meds, that it takes so much to put me out for surgery that the Dr's think I'll OD on the table. now i just deal with the pain, and only take any if i really need to just to knock the edge off. good luck on your recovery, and NICE pics..
  15. how much shorter is the drive shaft? if it's a inch or so, it should not be much of a issue. when i had my rear end replaced there was a vibration that was not there before also. dealer took the drive shaft off the rear and rotated it 180* and reinstalled it and it went away. so you could try that first.. good luck
  16. not much around here. so many people here looking for a job, that the company's here got you by the balls. there paying just above minimum wage for a job that anywhere else pays 15-18.00 per hr. been looking for something better myself, and all i get is AREN'T YOU A LITTLE OLD for this kind of work... or we are LOOKING FOR SOMEONE YOUNGER I'll be 54 in April. what most are looking for is some young kid who will take a low paying job and not know how bad he is getting f**ked. being older you have family and financial responsibilities that warrant a higher income, that they refuse to pay. i understand that the cost of things are going up for most business and times are tight, but when the owners are living the high life in $1m homes and there teen age snot nose kids have new BMWs and go to a private school, and we can't get a $1.00 per hr. raise after being there for 5 yrs.
  17. i have the Rhino on mine. it didn't hold the color like i would of liked. but it is under my Gaylord so it not a issue any more. if i had to do again i would go line x..
